OMRON HEM-CR24 Medium Cuff Instructions for Use

Product Information

Thank you for purchasing the OMRON HEM-CR24. This cuff is designed for arm circumferences of 22 to 32 centimeters. Please read this instruction manual and the applicable OMRON blood pressure monitor manual thoroughly before use. Keep this manual for future reference. For specific information about your own blood pressure, consult your physician.

The OMRON HEM-CR24 comes with the following components:

• Arm Cuff
• Air Tube

Applying the Arm Cuff

1. Put your left arm through the cuff loop. The smooth cloth should be on the inside of the cuff loop.
2. Position the arm correctly:
   • The air tube should run down the inside of your forearm and be in line with your middle finger.
   • The bottom of the cuff should be approximately 1 to 2 cm above your elbow.
   • Apply the cuff to your upper arm so that the marker (arrow under tube) is centered on the middle of your inner arm and points down the inside of the arm. The cuff should be at the same level as your heart.
3. When the cuff is positioned correctly, close the fabric fastener FIRMLY.

Notes:

• If the cuff is not assembled, pass the end of the cuff furthest from the tubing through the metal D-ring to form a loop.
• Please refer to the list of compatible models on the plastic bags 1 and 2 to know which plug you must use. Connect the correct air plug to the air tube.

Caution: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury to the user or patient or damage to the equipment or other property.

• Use only the approved Blood Pressure Monitor for this cuff.
• Do not wash the cuff or make it wet.
• Do not fold the cuff or air tube together too tightly and do not crease them.

Taking Measurements on the Right Arm

Apply the cuff so that the air tube is at the side of your elbow. Be careful not to rest your arm on the air tube, or otherwise restrict the flow of air to the cuff.

• The cuff should be 1 to 2 cm above the elbow.

Maintenance

• Use a soft and moistened cloth and neutral soap to clean the arm cuff.
• Do not store the cuff in the following situations:
  • If the cuff is wet.
  • Locations exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, direct sunlight, dust or corrosive vapours.
  • Locations exposed to vibrations, shocks or where it will be at an angle.

Specifications

Product production date is integrated in the Lot number, which is placed on the product and/or sales package: the first 4 digits mean year of production, the next 2 digits mean month of production and the last 2 digits mean day of production.
