Product Overview

This document provides instructions for installing the Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi Rack Mount child bike seat. The seat is designed for children aged 9 months to 6 years (or up to 22 kg / 48.5 lbs in Europe and rest of the world, and up to 18 kg / 40 lbs in USA & Canada). It is important to ensure the child is between 9 and 72 months old for proper fit.

Important Safety Information:

• Always ensure the child is within the recommended age and weight limits.
• The minimum load capacity for the rack is 25 kg / 55 lbs.
• The seat must comply with ISO11243 standards.
• Maximum speed recommended is 25 km/h (15 mph).
• Avoid using the seat on rough terrain or during extreme cycling activities.

Compatibility:

• The seat is compatible with bicycle racks with a diameter of 11-16 mm (0.43-0.63 inches).
• The rack width should be between 110-170 mm (4.33-6.69 inches).

Installation Steps

Step 1: Preparing the Seat

Ensure the seat is unlocked. Refer to the diagrams for unlocking the seat mechanism.

Step 2: Attaching to the Rack

2A: Place the seat onto the bicycle rack. Ensure it is positioned correctly.

2B: Adjust the mounting arms by sliding them inwards or outwards to fit the rack width.

2C: Secure the seat by locking the mechanism. A click sound indicates it is locked.

2D: Ensure the seat is firmly attached.

Step 3: Securing the Child

3A: Place the child in the seat. Fasten the safety harness by connecting the buckles.

3B: Adjust the harness straps for a snug and secure fit. The harness should be snug, with no slack.

3C: Ensure the child’s head is properly supported and the harness is correctly positioned.

Step 4: Final Checks

4A: Ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged.

4B: Check that the seat is stable and does not move excessively.

4C: Verify that the child is securely fastened and comfortable.

Step 5: Using the Thule One-Key System

The Thule One-Key System allows you to use the same key for multiple Thule products. Keep your key number safe for future reference.
