Prepare the Door & Check Dimensions

If your door already has the necessary holes, proceed to the next step. If not, use the mounting template (not provided in this text) to drill new holes.

Door Dimensions:

  • Backset: 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm)
  • Hole Diameter: 2-1/8" (54mm)
  • Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm to 50mm)

The diagram shows these measurements relative to the door edge and thickness.

Latch Adjustment

Backset is defined as the distance from the door edge to the center of the hole in the door.

  1. If the backset of your door is 2-3/8" (60mm), there is no need to adjust the Latch.

Diagram shows latch with 2-3/8" (60mm) backset, marked with ✔️.

  2. If the backset of your door is 2-3/4" (70mm), please adjust the Latch.

Diagram shows adjustment process: the latch mechanism can be extended or retracted. The correct setting for 2-3/4" (70mm) is indicated.

Visual cues show ✔️ for correct and ❌ for incorrect.

Install the Latch & Strike

Install the Latch:

The latch is installed into the edge of the door. The orientation depends on whether the door opens outwards or inwards.

  • Opening outwards: The beveled side of the latch faces the strike plate.
  • Opening inwards: The beveled side of the latch faces the strike plate.

Install the Strike:

The strike plate is installed on the door frame. Use the Strike Screws (B).

  • Opening outwards: The strike plate is positioned to receive the latch.
  • Opening inwards: The strike plate is positioned to receive the latch.

Note: The bevel of the Latch should be aligned with the bevel of the Strike.

Reverse Lever Direction (Optional)

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The Front Lever is installed for a right-handed door by default. If your door is left-handed, please exchange the Front and Rear Lever with each other.

? WARM REMINDER: While you exchange the lever direction, the edge of the inner mechanism may be a little sharp, please protect your hands from being hurt.

Rear Lever Disassembly Steps:

  1. Locate the Joint Point through the hole in the housing.
  2. Press the Joint Point with the Reset Tool (E) and pull out the lever simultaneously.

Diagram shows locating the joint point and pulling the lever out using the reset tool.

Front Lever Disassembly Steps:

  1. Rotate the lever and locate the Joint Point through the hole in the housing.
  2. Press the Joint Point with the Reset Tool (E) until it is fully depressed, then pull out the lever.

Diagram shows rotating the lever, locating the joint point, pressing it with the reset tool, and pulling the lever out.

Exchange the Levers:

Swap the Front and Rear Lever, then install each lever until it is firmly secured. Align the hole with the inside Joint Point.

Install Front and Rear Lever

This step involves attaching the levers to the door after the latch and strike are installed.

The diagram shows the Rear Lever (F) and Front Lever (G) being attached. Mounting Screws (D) are used.

Note: The Torque Blade (part of the latch mechanism) must be rotated to align with the corresponding slot in the lever mechanism for proper engagement.

Test the Lever

Keep the door open and check the Front and Rear Lever to test if they work smoothly. Ensure the latch retracts and extends correctly.
