This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. Assembly Steps
Step 1: Assemble Top Section

Step 2: Insert Pole into Base

Step 3: Connect Pole Sections

Step 4: Secure Pole to Base & Manage Cable

Step 5: Apply Cable Management

Step 6: Connect Pole Sections

Step 7: Attach Lampshade Support Disc
