Installation Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Base
Unscrew the 6 bolts of the mounting base using the 2.5mm Allen key. ?
Step 2: Mount to Fork/Seatstays
Front Fork Mounting (G1/R1): Ensure the front fork width is within the compatible range (70-100mm for G1, 55-85mm for R1).
Seatstay Mounting (G2/R2): Ensure the seatstay width is within the compatible range (70-100mm for G2, 55-85mm for R2).
Important Clearance Requirements:
- Front Fork Clearance: Minimum 8mm for G1/G2, Minimum 20mm for R1/R2.
- Seatstay Clearance: Minimum 8mm for G1/G2, Minimum 20mm for R1/R2.
⚠️ Warning: Do not install the TetraFender on screw holes, hose stops, or brake hoses. Ensure the fender is not obstructed by these components.
Step 3: Secure with Straps
Release the Velcro straps (4) on both sides of the mounting base and adjust the mounting position to the proper height.
Take the Velcro straps (13 or 14) with the metal loop and route them around the front forks or seatstays.
Buckle the metal loop into the hook of the strap tensioner (5).
Adjust the strap tensioner hook to the lowest position using the 2.5mm Allen key (8). ?
Tighten the straps to secure the mounting base to the bike frame. Use the 2.5mm Allen key to tighten the mounting base and bend slightly. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not overtighten the mounting base. ⚠️
Angle Adjustment
Adjustable aluminum struts allow for quick, perfect alignment and good tire coverage.
If the TetraFender is misaligned to the left side, please adjust the left mounting position upwards. The adjustable spacer (10) can be used to fine-tune the position.
Note on Frame Finish: To avoid marring the frame finish, ensure that the hook and loop fastener is installed and used correctly. The softer loop side should contact the frame surface only. ⚠️
3M Reflective Sticker
Affix the 3M Reflective Decal (12) into the designated groove (11) for increased visibility.
