Welcome to your new spa! With the correct preparation and care, your new spa will provide you with many years of fun and relaxation. Please find the "User Manual" and "Quick Start Guide" in the product attachment.
This manual has been developed to provide you with the information that you need regarding the preparation, installation, care, and operation of your new spa. Please take the time to carefully read the entire manual to ensure that your spa preparations are carried out correctly. Also, make sure that you familiarize yourself with the important safety instructions before using your spa.

User Interface and Programming Reference - Simplified Menus
Control Panels
The control panel displays various information and allows for programming. Key elements include:
- Jets: Controls the jets.
- Light: Controls the spa lighting.
- Temp: Adjusts the set temperature.
- Mode: Selects between Ready and Rest modes.
- Flip: Inverts the display.
- Aux: Controls auxiliary functions.
- Heat/Cool: Adjusts temperature.
Navigation
Navigation is done using the buttons on the control panel. The Temperature buttons (Warm/Cool or a single Temp button) and the Light button are used to navigate menus.
Power-Up Screens
Upon powering up, the system displays a series of numbers, followed by Priming Mode.
Key
- Indicates Flashing or Changing Segment
- Indicates Alternating or Progressive Message
- Temperature button (Action)

- Waiting time that keeps the last change
- Waiting time that reverts to original setting

Mode: Ready and Rest
Ready Mode: Circulates water periodically to maintain a constant temperature.
Rest Mode: Only allows heating during programmed filter cycles.
Circulation Mode
The circulation pump can operate continuously, or be programmed to run during filter cycles, freeze conditions, or when another pump is active.
Filtration and Ozone
Pump 1 low and the ozone generator run during filtration. On circ systems, the ozone runs with the circ pump.
Freeze Protection
If temperatures drop too low, pumps and blower activate automatically to prevent freezing.
Temperature and Temp Range
The set temperature can be adjusted using the temperature buttons. The temperature range is typically between 60°F and 104°F.
Adjusting Filtration
Filter cycles are set using a start time and duration, adjustable in 1-hour increments.
General Messages
- Priming Mode (M019): Allows users to run pumps to verify priming. Lasts 4 minutes.
- Water Temperature is Unknown: Displayed after pump runs for 1 minute.
- Too Cold - Freeze Protection: Activates pumps and blower to prevent freezing.
- Water is Too Hot (OHS) - M029: Spa functions disabled if water reaches 110°F (43.3°C). Resets below 108°F (42.2°C).
- Safety Trip - Pump Suction Blockage (M033): Indicates a suction problem or entrapment situation.
Heater-Related Messages
- HTR FLOW LOSS (HFL) - M016: Reduced water flow through heater.
- HTR FLOW FAIL (LF) - M017: Insufficient water flow, heater disabled. Requires reset.
- HEATER MAY BE DRY (DR) - M028: Possible dry heater. Spa shut down for 15 min. Requires reset.
- HEATER IS DRY - M027: Insufficient water in heater. Spa shut down. Requires reset.
- HEATER IS TOO HOT (OHH) - M030: Water temp in heater detected at 118°F (47.8°C). Spa shut down. Requires reset.
Sensor-Related Messages
- Sensor Balance is Poor (M015, M026): Temperature sensors may be out of sync. Call for service.
- Sensor Failure (M031, M032): Temperature sensor or circuit failure. Call for service.
Miscellaneous Messages
- No Comm: Control panel not communicating with the system. Call for service.
- Beta Ver-sion: Pre-production software. Call for service.
- °F or °C is Replaced by °T: Control system in Test Mode. Call for service.
System-Related Messages
- Mem Fail (M022): Program checksum test failed. Requires service call.
- Mem Warning - Persistent Memory Reset (M021): Appears after setup changes. Contact dealer if persistent.
- Clok Fail (M020): Clock error. Contact dealer.
- Config Error: Spa will not start up. Contact dealer.
- GFCI Fail: GFCI test failed. Contact dealer.
- Stuk Pump: Pump stuck on. Power down and contact dealer.
- Hot Falt: Pump stuck on from previous power-up. Power down and contact dealer.
Reminder Messages
- Chek PH: Check and adjust pH.
- Chek Chem: Check sanitizer and water chemistry.
- CLN FLTR: Clean the filter.
- Test GFCI: Test the GFCI/RCD regularly.
- Chng Watr: Change the spa water.
- CLN Covr: Clean the spa cover.
- Trt Wood: Treat wood skirting.
- Chng FLTR: Replace the filter.
- Chng Cart: Install new mineral cartridge.
Warnings
Qualified Technician Required: Installation and service should only be performed by qualified technicians.
Shock Hazard: No user-serviceable parts. Contact dealer for assistance. Ensure proper grounding.
GFCI/RCD Protection: Test GFCI/RCD regularly. Water temperature over 38°C can be injurious.
CSA Compliance: Follow safety guidelines, test GFCI before each use, read manual, ensure proper drainage, use CSA Enclosure 3, connect to GFCI protected circuit, use identical replacement parts.

User Guide for Standard Menu
Control Panels
The TP500 control panel features:
- Jets: Controls jet operation.
- Warm/Cool: Adjusts temperature.
- Light: Controls spa lighting.
- Aux: Controls auxiliary functions.
- Menu/Select: Navigates menus and confirms selections.
Navigation
Navigation is performed using the buttons on the control panel. The Menu/Select button is key for accessing and navigating through various menus.

Allows programming of spa lighting schedules if the feature is enabled.
Adjusting Filtration
Filter cycles are set using start time and duration, adjustable in 15-minute increments.
Filter Cycle 2 (Optional Filtration)
Allows for a second filter cycle, which can overlap with the first.
Purge Cycles
Secondary pumps/blowers run briefly at the start of each filter cycle to purge plumbing.
Preferences
- Temp Display: Switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).
- Time Display: Switch between 12-hour and 24-hour clock.
- Reminders: Turn reminder messages (e.g., "Clean Filter") On or Off.
- Cleanup: Set the duration for the cleanup cycle.
- Dolphin Address: For RF Dolphin systems, set the address (0-7).
- Color: Cycle through 5 background colors.
- Language: Change the displayed language.
Utilities and Information
- Info: Displays system information like Software ID, Model, Current Setup, Configuration Signature, Heater Voltage, Heater Type, DIP Switch Settings, and Panel Version.
- GFCI Test: (UL systems only) Allows manual testing and resetting of the GFCI.
- A/B Temps: Displays temperatures from Sensor A and Sensor B.
- Demo Mode: Demonstrates various spa features.
- Fault Log: Records the last 24 faults with details.
General Messages

- Program Memory Failure (M022): Firmware issue. Requires service call.
- Settings Have Been Reset (M021): Contact dealer if persistent.
- Clock Has Failed (M020): Clock error. Contact dealer.
- Configuration Error: Spa will not start up. Contact dealer.
- GFCI Test Failed (M036): Unsafe installation indicated. Contact dealer.
- Pump May Be Stuck On (M034): Overheated water. Power down and contact dealer.

- General Maintenance Help: Reminder messages can be suppressed via Preferences.
- Check PH: Check and adjust pH.
- Check Sanitizer: Check sanitizer and water chemistry.
- Clean Filter: Clean filter media.
- Test GFCI (or RCD): Test GFCI/RCD regularly.
- Change Water: Change spa water regularly.
- Clean Cover: Clean spa cover.
- Treat Wood: Treat wood skirting.
- Change Filter: Replace filter periodically.
- Change UV: Change UV generator as instructed.
- Check Ozone: Check ozone generator as instructed.

User Interface and Programming Reference
The Main Screen
The Main Screen displays key spa status information, including water temperature, set temperature, time-of-day, ozone and filter status, and messages. The selected Temperature Range is shown in the upper right corner. The Jets Icon indicates pump activity and heater status. A Lock icon appears if the panel or settings are locked. Menu choices on the right allow access to detailed controls and programming.
The Set Temperature can be adjusted by touching the Set Temperature line or the Water Temperature.
Navigation
Navigation is touch-based. Selectable text items appear in white. Menu selections lead to different screens with additional controls. Most screens time out and return to the Main Screen after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Common Buttons
- Save/Cancel: Appear on editing screens to confirm or discard changes.
- Back/Exit: Returns to the previous screen or Main Screen.
- Page Up/Down: Scrolls through menu lists.
- Increment/Decrement: Adjusts values (e.g., time, temperature).
The Set Temperature Screen
Adjust the Set Temperature using the Inc/Dec buttons. Press Back to return to the Main Screen. Pressing and holding the buttons adjusts the temperature continuously.
The Spa Screen
Provides access to all equipment controls via icons. Icons change to reflect equipment status (e.g., pump speed). The pump associated with the heater will have a red glow when the heater is on.
The Settings Screen
Allows programming of spa behaviors:
- Temp Range: Select between High and Low temperature ranges.
- Heat Mode: Choose between Ready and Rest modes.
- Time of Day: Set the current time.
- Filter Cycles: Program filter cycle start times and durations.
- Light Cycle: Program spa lighting schedules.
- Invert Panel: Flips the display and buttons for easier operation.
- Lock: Restricts panel or settings access.

Lock: Prevents panel or settings from being changed. Requires a specific unlock sequence.
