Hardware Setup: Wiring Diagram for Remote Heater Version
Model: BP100G2 PN 59270-01
This section details the wiring connections for the Balboa BP100G2 control pack. Ensure all connections are made by qualified personnel, observing all safety precautions, especially regarding high voltage.
General Wiring Notes:
- Torque range for TB1 connections: 27-30 IN.LBS.
- Torque range for heater connections: 30-35 IN.LBS.
- Use copper conductors only. Employer uniquement des conducteurs de cuivre. Minimum wire size #6 AWG, rated for 90°C.
- Connect only to circuits protected by a Class A GFCI. A disconnecting means must be installed within sight from the equipment and at least 5 feet (1.52 M) from the inside walls of the pool, spa, or hot tub.
- Total output amp draw must not exceed the maximum input rating of the spa.
- Pump 1, Circ Pump, and Ozone must all be the same voltage.
Main Connections and Components:
- TP (MAIN) PANELS: J34 OR J35
- TB1: Main power input terminals (e.g., L1, L2, Ground).
- J6: Connection for Pump 2.
- J9: Connection for 2/1-SP Pump 1 (240V, 12A MAX).
- J19: Connection for Circ Pump (240V, 2A MAX).
- J21: Connection for Ozone (0.5A).
- J33: Connection for TV / AV (120V, 3A).
- J38: Used for 240V AV configuration (move wire to AREA 3).
- J51, J52: Circ and Ozone Line 1 Connection (AREA 2).
- J11 & J13: Heater connections.
- J15: Spa Light connection (10V, 1A).
- Fuses: F6 (30A 250VAC), F3 (0.1A SLO-BLOW), F4 (1A SLO-BLOW), F5 (1A SLO-BLOW).
- DIP Switches (S1): Located on the main circuit board, used for configuration.
- Remote Heater: Sold separately. Available in 240V 5.5kW (1.4kW @ 120V) and 240V 4.0kW (1.0kW @ 120V) models.
- Expander X-P PN 59232: For additional features.
Wiring Configurations:
120VAC Configuration (Optional for Setups 3 & 4):
- J24 Jumpers must be in 120V positions.
- F3 fuse must be replaced by a 0.16A SLO-BLOW fuse (supplied with pack) when configured as 120VAC. Keep the original 0.1A fuse for potential conversion back to 240VAC.
- Switches #2 & #3 (on S1) should be set to OFF when the system is configured as 120VAC.
- J31 jumper must be on 1 pin when the heater is configured as 120VAC.
240VAC Configuration:
- TB1 wiring: WHT-1, BLK-2, RED-3.
- Move J46 and J38 wires from AREA 3 to AREA 1.
- Move J24 jumper to the 240V position.
- Change F3 fuse back to 0.1A SLO-BLOW.
- Put J31 jumper on 2 pins.

Changing Software Setups with spaTouch™ Icon-Driven Panels
This section describes how to change software setups using spaTouch icon-driven panels.
Test Menu Access:
- Service Technicians ONLY.
- DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE IS ACCESSIBLE.
- To enter Test Mode: While the system is running, move DIP Switch 1 (on S1 on the Main circuit board) to ON.
- To exit Test Mode: Move DIP Switch 1 to OFF.
To Change Software Setups (While in Test Mode):
- Press the indicated icons to navigate through screens.
- The example screens shown are from the spaTouch 1 panel; spaTouch 2 screens are similar but wider.
- Setup Selection Screen: Press the Up or Down icon to select the desired Setup Number, then press the Check Mark icon to confirm and restart the spa.
- After restart, a message like "The settings have been reset" may appear if DIP Switch 6 was OFF. Press "Clear" to dismiss.
Changing Software Setups with TP800 / TP900 / spaTouch™ Menued Panel
This section outlines software setup changes for TP800, TP900, and spaTouch menued panels.
Test Menu Access:
- Service Technicians ONLY.
- DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE IS ACCESSIBLE.
- To enter Test Mode: While the system is running, move DIP Switch 1 (on S1 on the Main circuit board) to ON.
