XTRFY M42 WIRELESS QUICK START GUIDE
Getting Started
Follow these steps to set up your Xtrfy M42 Wireless mouse.
Step 1: Connect the Receiver

Step 2: Prepare the Mouse

Step 3: Power and Mode Switch

The switch controls the mouse's function: OFF (powers down), CPI (adjusts sensitivity), RGB (controls lighting effects), PGDN (Page Down function).
Battery and RGB Status
Indicators on the mouse show battery level and RGB status.
- Battery Indicators:
- [battery-low] 0-25%
- [battery-medium] 26-50%
- [battery-high] 51-75%
- [battery-full] 76-100%
- RGB Indicator: A separate indicator shows the status of the RGB lighting.
To activate the mouse or change settings, press and hold the DPI button for 3 seconds.
CPI (Sensitivity) Settings
Adjust the mouse sensitivity (Counts Per Inch) using the DPI button.
Pressing the DPI button cycles through the following settings:
- [red] 400 CPI
- [orange] 800 CPI
- [blue] 1200 CPI
- [purple] 1600 CPI
- [cyan] 3200 CPI
- [pink] 4000 CPI
- [white] 7200 CPI
- [yellow] 19000 CPI
Polling Rate Settings
Set the polling rate for responsiveness.
Pressing the PR button cycles through:
- [red] 125 Hz
- [blue] 500 Hz
- [white] 1000 Hz
RGB Lighting Control
Customize the RGB lighting effects and colors.
Use the switch and buttons to cycle through different RGB effects and colors.
RGB Effects: Cycle through various lighting animations.
Color: Select specific colors for the lighting.
Brightness and Speed Adjustment
Adjust the brightness of the RGB lighting and the speed of effects.
Brightness: Use the plus [➕] and minus [➖] buttons to increase or decrease brightness.
Speed: Adjust the speed of RGB effects using the dedicated control.
Advanced Features
Lift-Off Distance:
Set the height at which the mouse sensor stops tracking when lifted.
- [red] 1 MM
- [blue] 2 MM
Debounce Time:
Adjust the debounce time to prevent accidental double clicks.
- [red] 2 MS
- [blue] 4 MS
- [green] 8 MS
- [purple] 12 MS
These settings are typically adjusted by holding a button combination for a specified duration (e.g., 3 or 5 seconds).
Factory Reset
To reset the mouse to its factory default settings, press and hold the DPI button for 5 seconds.
Weight Balance
The M42 Wireless allows for weight balance adjustment. This involves accessing internal components.

Removing the Shell
To access internal components for weight balance or other adjustments, the top shell can be removed.
