Portable Devices

Connecting Portable Devices

Portable devices connect to the unit located in the glove compartment. The audio system supports the connection of various portable devices:

When connecting an iPod® or USB drive, you can control the devices and search for music using the touchscreen. Many of the control buttons are similar to those used for CD playback.

Important Safety Information:

Audio System Compatibility

The audio system supports playback of MP3, WMA, and AAC audio files. For optimal playback quality, it is recommended to use lossless compression for multimedia files on USB and iPod® devices. If using compressed files, the digital stream rate should be at least 192 kbit/s (higher is recommended).

Note: iPod® is a trademark of Apple Computer Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.

Some MP3 players may have their own file system that is not supported by this audio system. To use such MP3 players, you may need to set them to USB Mass Storage mode or Large Capacity Storage mode. In these modes, you can only play music files transferred to the devices in these specific modes.

Playback and Control

When using a USB drive or a compatible iPod®, you can control music playback using the touchscreen.

If you are using a portable device connected via the AUX jack, you will control playback directly from the device itself.

Playback Behavior:

Device Charging:

Devices connected to the iPod® and USB ports will be charged. However, fully discharged devices may not operate.

Managing Multiple Devices

The USB port allows connection of only one audio device at a time.

You can connect multiple devices to the portable device unit and switch between them using the touchscreen. Use the USB or iPod buttons to switch modes.

The first connected device remains active until you switch to another device. If you switch back to a previously connected device (USB or iPod®), playback will resume from the point where it was stopped.

Note: USB hubs cannot be used to connect multiple USB devices to the audio system.

Playback Modes:

Functions like Repeat (Повтор) and Random (Воспроизведение в случайном порядке) apply to the current device. After switching to another device, these functions need to be reactivated.

Navigating and Searching

Use the "next/previous" buttons and the fast forward/rewind controls on the steering wheel for searching tracks.

Device Browsing (iPod®/USB):

Auxiliary Input Jack

The 3.5 mm AUX jack allows you to connect external audio equipment, such as personal stereo players, MP3 players, or portable navigation devices, to the car's audio system.

The adjacent power socket can be used to power or charge electrical devices.

Note: iPod Shuffle® can be connected via the auxiliary jack.

Vehicles equipped with a multimedia system may have additional audio/video jacks (AV1 and AV2) in the rear. These allow connection of various external equipment, such as game consoles, to the rear DVD screens. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for installation details.

Selecting Auxiliary Input:

To listen to music from an auxiliary device, select "Portable Audio" on the touchscreen, then "AUX" (Auxiliary Input).

Playback will start once the device is turned on and set to playback mode.

Note: Volume levels and sound quality for devices connected to auxiliary inputs can vary significantly.
