  • Child can become entrapped and die if improvised netting or covers are placed on top of the playard. Never add such items.
  • NEVER use if any fasteners are loose, joints are loose, parts are broken, or mesh/fabric is torn. Contact Baby Trend Customer Service for replacement parts. NEVER substitute parts.
  • NEVER leave child in product with sides lowered. Ensure sides are raised and locked.

Assembly Instructions

To Assemble Playard:

  1. Unzip the carry bag and remove the playard frame. Undo the fasten straps and set the mattress aside. Do not push the center down yet. (Figure 1 shows the playard frame being removed from its bag.)
  2. Erect the top rails one at a time. Pull up sharply on each rail, holding both sides of the rail. Do not pull from the center where the latch release is located. Ensure both tubes latch securely and each rail is rigid. (Figure 2 illustrates erecting the top rails.) IMPORTANT: The center must be raised while locking the rails. If one rail locks but the other does not, unlock the rail by squeezing the center release and try again.
  3. Once all four top rails are locked, push down on the center handle. The center mechanism will automatically lock. (Figure 3a shows pushing down the center handle.) IMPORTANT: Test each top rail by pushing down slightly to confirm it is rigid and securely in place before use. (Figure 3b shows testing a top rail.)
  4. Place the mattress on the playard floor with the padded side facing up. (Figure 4 shows the mattress placement.)
  5. Insert the hook & loop fasteners from the underside of the mattress through the slots in the playard floor at each end. Fasten them to the underside of the playard floor to prevent the mattress from moving. (Figure 5a shows inserting fasteners, Figure 5b shows them fastened.) IMPORTANT: The center handle must remain raised (approx. 18 inches / 45.7 cm) while locking the side rails. If the center is not raised, the rails will not lock.

To Fold Playard:

  1. Release the hook and loop fasteners holding the mattress from underneath the playard floor or bassinet and set the mattress aside.
  2. Do not unlock top rails yet; the center of the floor must be raised before top rails will unlock. Rotate the center handle counter-clockwise 90 degrees and raise the center as high as the top rails. Gather the legs and wheels towards the center. (Figure 7 illustrates rotating the handle before lifting.)
  3. Locate the rail latch release in the center and bottom side of each rail. Squeeze the lever with two hands until the rail releases the two tubes, then push down. (Figure 8a shows releasing the latch, Figure 8b shows pushing down.) NOTE: If top rails do not release completely, DO NOT FORCE. Lift the center of the floor higher. Both tubes must be released for the top rail to fold.
  4. Gather the four corners and center them tightly. Wrap the mattress around the playard frame with the padded side facing inward. (Figure 9 shows gathering corners.)
  5. Secure the hooks and loop fasteners by feeding them through the loops on the end of the mattress and folding them back onto themselves. (Figure 10 shows securing fasteners.) Place the folded playard into the carry bag so the handle comes through the opening between the zipper sides.

To Assemble Bassinet:

  1. Connect opposing mattress support tubes attached to the bottom of the bassinet. (Figure 11a shows connecting tubes, Figure 11b shows correct connection.)
  2. Position the bassinet over and down into the fully assembled playard. Secure by pushing down firmly on each plastic support clip until snapped into place. (Figure 12 shows bassinet placement.)
  3. Place the mattress into the bassinet with the padded side facing upward. Fasten tabs underneath the mattress to secure it. (Figure 13 shows mattress placement.)

To Remove Bassinet:

Remove mattress from bassinet. Remove canopy. Disconnect opposing mattress support tubes. Unsnap all clips and lift bassinet.

To Assemble Changing Table:

  1. Connect the two long curved bars together. (Figure 14a) Insert the assembled curved bars into the changing table fabric, sliding them inside the sleeve. (Figure 14b) Connect the two short bars to each end of the long curved bars, ensuring knobs face down and in the same direction. (Figure 14c shows connecting short bars, Figure 14d shows knob orientation.)
  2. Insert connector knob prongs into holes on both corners of the playard. Turn connector knobs counter-clockwise to lock. (Figure 15a shows prong insertion, Figure 15b shows turning knobs.) Flip the changing table onto the playard. (Figure 15c shows flipping the table.) Snap the two buttons on the flap down onto the playard. (Figure 15d shows snapping buttons.)
  3. Locate hook and loop fasteners on the bottom of the changing table and inside the playard side rails. (Figure 16 shows fastener locations.) Flip the changing table into its upper position. (Figure 17 shows the table flipped up.) Secure the changing table to the playard frame by fastening the hook and loop fasteners on the underside of the table to the side rails. (Figure 18 shows securing the table.)

To Use Changing Table Restraint System:

Place child on changing table, ensuring hands and arms are clear of the restraint. Bring restraint around child's waist and clip buckle ends together. (Figure 19a shows initial placement.) Tighten strap snugly around child's waist, but DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. (Figure 19b shows tightening strap.) To remove, unsnap the buckle. ATTENTION: NEVER use the changing table if it is damaged or broken.

To Remove Changing Table:

Flip the changing table to the outside of the playard. Unsnap the fabric flap. Twist connector knobs clockwise to unlock. (Figure 20a shows unlocking knobs.) Remove the changing table from the playard (Figure 20b) and disconnect the short bars from the curved bar by pressing snap buttons and pulling apart. Remove the curved bar from the changing table sleeve.

Parent Organizer Assembly:

For Parent Organizer: Position each hook so the hooked end faces the rear. Press hook firmly into the slot until it snaps. (Figure 21a shows hook placement.) For Diaper Stacker, skip to step 2. Connect the parent organizer/diaper stacker to the playard by sliding the two connecting clips over an open portion of the top rail. (Figure 21b shows connecting clips.) NOTE: The organizer/stacker can only be installed on open sides where clips attach easily without interfering with other features.

To Assemble Inclined Sleeper:

  1. Pull the inclined sleeper fabric flaps up at the top and bottom. (Figure 22a shows pulling flaps.) Insert the left inclined sleeper frame bar into the left sleeve of the fabric, sliding it inward until it locks. Ensure the bar is curved upward. (Figure 22b shows inserting bar, Figure 22c shows upward curve.) Repeat for the right side. (Figure 22d shows right side insertion.) NOTE: The bar curve must be upward.
  2. Connect the bottom right and left inclined sleeper frame bars. Ensure supports are seated and locked. (Figure 23a shows connecting bottom bars.) Pull the bottom fabric flap down and secure it. (Figure 23b shows securing flap.)
  3. At the top of the inclined sleeper, insert a top clip with the longest side outward into each of the right and left frame bars, sliding inward until locked. Ensure supports are seated and locked. (Figure 24a shows clip insertion, Figure 24b shows locking.) Connect the top right and left frame bars, ensuring supports are seated and locked. (Figure 24c shows connecting top bars.) Pull the top fabric flap down and secure it. (Figure 24d shows securing top flap.)

Toy Bar Installation:

Push down on the ends of the toy bar to secure it onto the top of the frame. (Figure 25a shows toy bar installation.) To adjust the angle, push the toy bar back. (Figure 25b shows angle adjustment.)

To Attach Inclined Sleeper in Playard:

Lower the inclined sleeper into the bassinet. (Figure 26a shows lowering sleeper.) Push down on the top and bottom clips to secure them onto the playard railing. (Figure 26b shows securing clips.) NOTE: DO NOT use the inclined sleeper on the playard without the bassinet and securing clips.

Completed Inclined Sleeper:

Place the baby's head at the top of the inclined sleeper near the mesh windows for ventilation. (Figure 27 shows placement.) Note: Always keep the baby's head elevated.
