This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for setting up and operating your Ultimea Nova S40 soundbar and subwoofer system. Please read through the manual carefully before use.

Soundbar Controls
The soundbar features the following controls:
- Power Button: Press to turn on/off. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off.
- Mode Button (M): Press to cycle through input modes: ARC, Optical, Coaxial, BT, AUX, USB. Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter BT pairing mode.
- Volume Up (+): Increases the volume.
- Volume Down (-): Decreases the volume.
- Play/Pause (▶||): For BT and USB modes only. Press to play or pause. Press and hold for 3 seconds in USB mode to switch between single track loop and list loop.
- Next Track (>): For BT and USB modes only. Skips to the next track.
- Previous Track (<): For BT and USB modes only. Skips to the previous track.
Remote Control Functions
The remote control allows you to manage all functions of the soundbar:
- Power (1): Turn the device on or off.
- Input Selection (2): Cycle through input sources (ARC, Optical, Coaxial, AUX, USB).
- Bluetooth (3): Switch to Bluetooth mode and activate pairing. Press and hold for 3 seconds to disconnect.
- Volume Up (4): Increase volume.
- Previous Track (5): Skip to the previous track in BT/USB mode.
- Volume Down (6): Decrease volume.
- Movie Mode (7): Selects the movie sound profile.
- Bass Boost (BASS M) (8): Enhances bass levels. Press again to return to normal bass.
- Mute/Unmute (9): Temporarily silences the audio.
- Play/Pause (10): Play or pause playback in BT/USB mode.
- Next Track (11): Skip to the next track in BT/USB mode.
- Game Mode (12): Selects the game sound profile.
- Music Mode (13): Selects the music sound profile.
Connecting to the Subwoofer
Connect the subwoofer to the soundbar using the provided SUB OUT cable.
Connecting to Your TV via ARC
Follow these steps to connect your soundbar to your TV using the HDMI ARC connection:
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the ARC/eARC output on your TV.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on the soundbar.
- Press the 'ARC' button on the remote control and select 'ARC' as the input source.
Understanding HDMI Connections:
- HDMI IN: Standard HDMI input for connecting devices to your TV or audio system. Supports audio and video signals but not ARC/eARC.
- HDMI ARC: Special HDMI port enabling two-way communication between your TV and audio system, allowing audio signals to be sent from the TV to the soundbar and vice versa.
- HDMI eARC: Enhanced Audio Return Channel, an updated version of ARC that supports higher-quality audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Note: When ARC is connected, your TV remote can control the soundbar's power and volume.
Troubleshooting No Sound: If you experience no sound, try setting your TV's audio output to PCM. Navigate to TV Settings > Home > Settings > Sound > Digital Audio Output > PCM.
Connecting to Your TV via Optical, Coaxial, or AUX
Option 1: Optical Connection
- Ensure your TV's audio output is set to 'OPTICAL OUT'.
- If sound is coming from the TV's internal speakers, mute the TV or lower its volume.
Option 2: Coaxial Connection
- Ensure your TV's audio output is set to 'COAXIAL OUT'.
- If sound is coming from the TV's internal speakers, mute the TV or lower its volume.
Option 3: AUX Connection
- Use the provided 3.5mm audio cable to connect your TV's AUDIO OUT port to the soundbar's AUX input.
Troubleshooting No Sound: If you experience no sound, try setting your TV's audio output to PCM. Navigate to TV Settings > Home > Settings > Sound > Digital Audio Output > PCM.
Wall Mounting
Follow the diagrams to mount the soundbar on the wall.
- Measure and mark the desired position for the wall mount.
- Drill holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
- Attach the wall brackets to the wall.
- Slide the soundbar onto the brackets.
- Ensure the soundbar is securely mounted.
