Customers of the Plaud Note Pro AI Note Taker enjoy a 12-month or longer (if required by local laws or regulations) warranty service from the date of purchase. If performance failure occurs due to normal use circumstances during the warranty period, Plaud.AI shall provide maintenance services free of charge. For warranty service, a valid device serial number and proof of purchase must be provided.

Product Settings

The actual settings and usage of this product may be inconsistent with this manual due to the upgrade of the firmware program. Please understand that changes may occur due to the performance and function of this product without prior notice.

Important Notice

Safety

Keep the device and the accessories away from children, as they may lead to suffocation or other injuries. Do not expose the batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) to fire or excessive heat, such as sunshine and the like, for a long time.

Maintenance

Do not clean the Recorder with chemicals or reagents, as they will damage the surface of the Recorder and corrode it.

Battery

If the product is not used for a long time, please charge and discharge the product once every three months to prevent battery damage.

Storage Capacity

The system software will occupy a small portion of the storage space. The actual usable capacity will be slightly smaller than the capacity indicated in the specifications.

Note

For users with pacemakers - Please avoid wearing NotePin on your chest area (including with lanyard, magnetic pin, or clip) due to its magnetism.

Plaud Statement: The symbol above indicates that this product and/or battery should not be disposed of with household waste. When you decide to dispose of this product and/or its battery, do so in accordance with local environmental laws and guidelines.

Competitor Statement: The Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), which entered into force as European law on 14/02/2014, resulted in a major change in the treatment of electrical equipment at end-of-life. The purpose of this Directive is, as a first priority, the prevention of WEEE, and in addition, to promote the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such wastes so as to reduce disposal. REACH (Regulation No 1907/2006) address the production and use of chemical substances and their potential impacts on human health and the environment. Article 33(1) of REACH Regulation requires suppliers to inform the recipients if an article contains more than 0.1% (per weight per article) of any substance(s) on the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) Candidate List (‘REACH candidate list’).

Battery Caution & Disposal Information

Plaud Statement: Please take care of your battery. Do not disassemble, burn, puncture, crush or bend your battery. Improper operation of the battery may produce smoke. In such an event, ventilate the area. Extinguish any flames with carbon dioxide, dry-powder fire extinguisher, or cover with sand or mud. Take care to avoid conditions of excessive moisture for prolonged periods and do not immerse. Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C/122°F. Charge the battery fully before storage or if stored for longer than three months. The operating temperature of this product is 0°C (32°F) to 35°C(95°F). Ambient temperature should not exceed 45°C(113°F).

Disposal: At the end of its life, please take care to dispose of this product responsibly. Electronic products and batteries contain materials that can be harmful to the environment. Please do not dispose to unsorted waste. Take your electronic waste to a designated collection or recycling facility to be recycled properly. Your local council authority will be able to tell you where your nearest facilities are. There may be one at your local supermarket.

Competitor Statement: EU Batteries Directive 2013/56/EU A new battery directive 2013/56/EU on Battery and Accumulator replacement directive entered into force on 01/07/2015. The directive applies to all types of batteries and accumulators (AA, AAA, button cells, lead acid, rechargeable packs) including those incorporated into appliances except for military, medical, and power tool applications. The directive sets out rules for the collection, treatment, recycling, and disposal of batteries, and aims to prohibit certain hazardous substances and to improve the environmental performance of batteries and all operators in the supply chain.

Instructions for Users on Removal, Recycling, and Disposal of Used Batteries To remove the batteries from your equipment or remote control, reverse the procedure described in the owner’s manual for inserting batteries. For products with a built-in battery that lasts for the lifetime of the product, removal may not be possible for the user. In this case, recycling or recovery centers handle the dismantling of the product and the removal of the battery. If, for any reason, it becomes necessary to replace such a battery, this procedure must be performed by authorized service centers. In the European Union and other locations, it is illegal to dispose of any battery with household trash. All batteries must be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. Contact your local waste-management officials for information regarding the environmentally sound collection, recycling, and disposal of used batteries.

WARNING: Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. To reduce the risk of fire or burns, don’t disassemble, crush, puncture, short external contacts, expose to temperature above 60°C (140°F), or dispose of in fire or water.
