This manual provides comprehensive instructions for setting up and using your VStarcam IP camera.
1. Q&A
Q: How to reset camera back to factory default setting?
A: Hold the reset button for about 10 seconds to reset the camera. The default password is 888888 (it is strongly recommended to change your camera password).
Q: Any WiFi connection tips?
A: The camera only supports 2.4G frequency signals and 802.11b/g/n WiFi networks.
- The WiFi password should be less than 16 characters and should not contain special characters like '@' or '¥'. It is recommended to use letters and numbers for the password.
- Please upgrade to the latest version of the APP.
Q: No vision at night time?
A:
- Check if the IR function is enabled.
- Check if the IR LED is on.
- Reset the camera to factory settings.
- Try upgrading the camera to the latest firmware.
Q: What to do if camera picture is blurred?
A:
- Enter the video interface and adjust the picture quality to HD mode.
- Clean the camera lens with a cotton swab.
2. Software Download
- Visit www.eye4.so to download the software.
- Search for "Eye4" in the App Store or Android market.
- Scan the QR code below to download.

3. Registration
- For Android/iOS clients, click the "Sign up now" button, enter your desired username and password on the registration page, and confirm to complete the account registration.
- Account registration also supports third-party account login.
4. Add Device
4.1 Installation Method One:
Connect the camera with power and network cable, then choose to search in LAN or add manually.
- Connect the camera to power and the network cable. Ensure the other end of the network cable is connected to the router's LAN port and the yellow indicator is flashing.
Please ensure your phone and camera are connected to the same router.

2. Enter the APP, click the [+] icon in the top right corner, and choose "IP camera".
Search camera in LAN: This feature can find all available cameras on the same router as your smartphone. If successfully added, other account users can also use this search function to add the camera. (Note: Cameras already added to an Eye4 account cannot be found).

3. Wait for about 15 seconds. An 'add' button will pop up. If no camera is found, please try again or return to the previous steps and choose "manually add camera".
Manually add a camera: Input the camera UID or scan the QR code on the camera's bottom sticker to add.
Note: If you need to set up WiFi connection, please follow the instructions below:
4. Click the three-dot menu [Menu] in the top right corner, choose "setting" -> "wireless configuration", and enter the WiFi password that matches your smartphone/tablet's connected WiFi.

5. Wait until the camera speaks "please remove the network cable, the camera will restart...". Then, remove the network cable from the camera (no need to remove the power connection).

Unplug the network cable; the camera will reboot automatically...
Note: If the setup fails, please use the network cable connection or change the router to set it up again.
4.2 Installation Method Two
Please connect the camera to power and wait for the camera to announce "WiFi configuration is waiting". (If the camera has no sound, please reset the camera to factory settings).
Attention: For outdoor cameras, please use Method One for adding.

1. Enter the APP, click the [+] icon in the top right corner, and choose "IP camera".
2. Choose "wireless configuration". Refer to the "wireless installation instruction" and "APP voice prompt" for operation.

3. Keep the phone and camera within 2 meters for pairing. After about 15 seconds, when the camera announces "WiFi connection success", click "Add it".
Note: Place the phone close to the camera and set the phone volume to maximum.

4. If the APP does not pop up the add camera page, please try again or use Method One.

Note: Some features require hardware support.
6. Settings
- Camera settings: View camera basic information, set up wireless connection, modify password, upgrade firmware, and delete camera.
- View video: Set up night view mode, horizontal and vertical mirror view, light mode, brightness, and contrast.
- Recording: View SD card capacity, set up scheduled recording, motion detection recording, and choose whether to record audio. (It is recommended to format the SD card before recording).
- Alarm: Turn motion detection alarm on/off, set alarm notification type, and alarm time frame. Motion detection alarm sensitivity is graded into three levels: low, middle, and high.

Note: This manual is based on Eye4 4.0 version. The interface may differ slightly due to APP updates. Please refer to the actual version.
Warranty Terms
1. Under normal operating conditions, for performance failures listed in national regulations, and without disassembly, enjoy an 18-month warranty. The warranty period starts from the invoice, receipt, or relevant proof and manufacturer ID activation date.
2. During the warranty period, repair shipping costs are shared by both parties. Outside the warranty period, the manufacturer does not cover shipping costs.
3. Warranty service is valid only for failures occurring during normal use. The following conditions are not covered by free warranty and may incur service fees:
- Damage caused by user or third-party negligence, abuse, misuse, disaster, or self-disassembly.
- Damage from using non-manufacturer-approved accessories or not following the manual for use, maintenance, or care, or other accidents.
- Damage caused by incorrect or improper operation.
- Wear and tear on the device's labels, parts, or exterior due to use.
- No activation date and inability to provide invoice or purchase records.
