Press the side brush into the corresponding color card slot and listen for a "click". Ensure it is installed correctly.
-
Remove anti-collision foam
Lift the sticker on the top cover to open the robot's top cover and remove the anti-collision foam. Close the robot's top cover.

-
Placement of the multifunctional charging station
Plug the power cable into the rear of the charging station. Ensure at least 0.45 meters of open space in front of the station for robot access. Avoid placing the charging station near heat sources.
-
Install dust bag
Remove the front cover of the charging station. Insert the dust collection bag into the slot in the indicated direction until it reaches the bottom. Reinstall the front panel of the charging station.
-
Add clean water
Open the clean water tank and fill it with clean water. Close the water tank's top cover and place it back into the multifunctional charging station.
-
Add detergent
With the clean water tank full, use the detergent cap to measure an appropriate amount of detergent into the clean water tank. Close the tank lid securely and gently shake to mix. It is recommended to use Narwal detergent to prevent device malfunction.
-
Startup setup
Push the robot onto the base with the side brushes facing outwards. The charging station will beep to confirm correct charging, and the robot will power on automatically with a voice prompt.
-
Connect and link the robot in the App
Download the Narwal App and follow the instructions to connect and link the robot. Note: In the App's device page, tap "Settings" > "Device" and then press and hold "Reset robot" for 10 seconds to activate/deactivate the power saving mode (available in North America only).
3. How to Use
Before using the robot, ensure the multifunctional charging station installation and configuration from Chapter 2 are complete.
3.1 Organize the home environment
- A. Clear floor clutter such as scattered cables, rags, shoes, clothes, and books.
- B. Open doors to rooms you wish to clean and arrange furniture to allow maximum space for cleaning.
- C. Keep other doors closed and install a barrier to prevent the robot from entering elevated or low areas.
- D. The maximum obstacle crossing height is 30mm. The robot cannot enter rooms with a threshold height exceeding 30mm. Consider purchasing a Narwal threshold ramp for assistance.
- E. Avoid standing in front of the robot, on thresholds, or in narrow passages to prevent omissions.
3.2 Map tracing
Before cleaning a new home, the robot needs to explore the environment and create a map. Activate mapping by briefly pressing the station's [Start/Stop] button or tapping "Start Mapping" in the App. Maps can be edited and managed in the Narwal App, including creating no-go zones or multi-floor maps. Do not move the charging station after mapping is complete, as it will require map reconstruction. Reconstructing the map is also recommended if large furniture locations change.
3.3 Cleaning
Before starting a cleaning task, ensure the robot has an adequate battery level, which can be checked in the App.
Select cleaning modes
The product offers four cleaning modes: Vacuum, Mop, Vacuum & Mop, and Vacuum then Mop. Parameters like cleaning cycles, suction power, and mop humidity can be adjusted in the App for each mode.
Freo Mind Adjustment
Freo Mind is an intelligent cleaning assistant that automatically adjusts cleaning parameters without manual input. You can choose to activate Freo Mind when starting a cleaning task via the App.
Start cleaning task
You can command the robot to start cleaning in the following ways:
- Click [Start Cleaning] in the App.
- Briefly press the robot's [Start/Stop] button to begin cleaning (default sweep mode).
- Briefly press the charging station's [Start/Stop] button to initiate cleaning (default sweep and mop mode).
Note: Cleaning modes and further parameters can be configured in the App. Avoid touching the mop module sides while the robot is cleaning.
Pause/Resume current task
You can pause or resume the current task in the following ways:
- Click [Pause]/[Continue] in the App.
- Briefly press the robot's [Start/Stop] button.
- Briefly press the charging station's [Start-Stop] button.
Dust collection
During a vacuuming task, solid debris from the robot's dustbin is automatically vacuumed into the charging station's dust bag. Initiate dust collection by clicking [Dust Collection] in the App.
Mop washing
If the robot is set for multiple mopping passes or cleaning a large area, it will automatically return to the charging station to wash the mop. The number of mopping passes and return frequency can be adjusted in the App before cleaning begins. You can also manually initiate mop washing via the App [Wash Mop] or by double-clicking the charging station's [Mop] button. Do not forcibly remove the robot during mop washing to prevent damage.
End current task
The robot will navigate back to the charging station upon task completion. A cleaning report is available in the App. You can also manually end a task in four ways:
- Press and hold the End button for 2 seconds in the App.
- Short press the robot's [Recall] button.
- Press and hold the robot's [Start/Stop] button for 2s.
- Press and hold the charging station's [Start-Stop] button for 2s.
Mop drying
After the final pass, the robot returns to the charging station to wash and dry the mop. The drying time can be adjusted in the App. Initiate mop drying via the App [Mop Drying].
