Important Safety Instructions
Read and follow all instructions carefully before setting up and using your Bestway spa. These warnings and instructions are intended to prevent common risks associated with water recreation and do not cover all possible dangers. Always exercise caution, good judgment, and common sense when enjoying water activities. Keep this manual for future reference.
Electrical Safety
- The spa must be powered through an isolating transformer or a Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
- Ensure the power supply is connected to a grounded power source.
- The power source should be located at least 4 meters (13 ft) away from the spa.
- Connect the spa only to a properly installed, grounded outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Never plug in or unplug the unit with wet hands.
- Do not use any electrical appliances while inside the spa or when your body is wet.
- Ensure the power cord is protected from damage, such as from lawnmowers or garden shears.
- Do not operate the spa during thunderstorms or lightning.
- The spa is a Class I electrical device and must be connected to a grounded outlet.
- Regularly inspect the plug and outlet for damage. Do not use the spa if the plug or outlet is damaged.
- The PRCD (Residual Current Protection Device) plug must be tested before each use to prevent electric shock hazards. Do not use the pump if the test fails or yields a negative result.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service center, or a qualified person to avoid hazards.
- To prevent electrical shock, do not use extension cords. Ensure the power source is easily accessible.
Injury Prevention
- Water temperature should never exceed 40°C (104°F). A temperature between 38°C (100°F) and 40°C (104°F) is considered safe and comfortable for healthy adults.
- For children and for use exceeding 10 minutes, a lower water temperature is recommended.
- Pregnant women or women who might be pregnant should limit water temperature to 38°C (100°F) and limit their time in the spa to 10 minutes at a time due to the risk of harm to the fetus.
- If you feel the water is too hot, measure the temperature with an accurate thermometer before entering. If the temperature exceeds 45°C (113°F), stop using the spa until it cools below 40°C (104°F).
- Alcohol, drugs, or medication use before or during spa use can lead to unconsciousness and the risk of drowning.
- Individuals with excessive weight, heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, circulation problems, or diabetes should consult a doctor before using the spa.
- Individuals taking medication should consult a doctor, as some medications can cause drowsiness or affect heart rate, blood pressure, and circulation.
- Never submerge your head in the water.
- Avoid swallowing spa water.
- Do not use the spa if the inlet/outlet pipes are broken or missing.
- Never pour water hotter than 40°C (104°F) directly into the spa.
- Do not use the spa alone.
- Individuals with infectious diseases should not use the spa.
- Do not use the spa immediately after strenuous physical activity.
- If you feel unwell or drowsy, leave the spa immediately.
- Always enter and exit the spa slowly and carefully, as wet surfaces are slippery.
- Inspect the pump before each use.
- Always keep the power plug dry. Never connect a wet plug.
- Disconnect the unit before cleaning or maintenance, and when leaving it unattended for extended periods.
- Always remove contact lenses before using the spa.
- The suction fittings are sized to match the pump's flow rate. When replacing suction fittings or the pump, ensure the flow rate of the new components is compatible. Never use the spa if the suction fitting is damaged or missing. Never replace a suction fitting with one that has a lower flow rate than specified on the original fitting.
- After 3-5 years of use, have the spa's internal electrical components (heater, fan motor, check valves) inspected and possibly replaced by a professional electrician.
- For non-swimmers: A competent adult must supervise children who cannot swim or swim poorly, especially during physical activity in the spa. Children under five are at the highest risk of drowning.
- Ensure competent adult supervision for children at all times when the spa is in use.
- Children who cannot swim or swim poorly should use appropriate safety gear.
- When the spa is not in use or unsupervised, remove all toys from the spa and surrounding area to prevent children from accessing it.
Safety Devices and Equipment
- Install a cover or other safety device to prevent unauthorized access.
- Fencing, covers, alarms, and other safety devices are helpful but cannot replace constant adult supervision.
- Keep rescue equipment (e.g., a lifebuoy) readily accessible.
- Keep a working phone and emergency contact numbers nearby.
- Consult local authorities regarding regulations for childproof fencing, barriers, lighting, and other safety requirements.
Safe Spa Usage
- Encourage all users, especially children, to learn to swim.
- Learn basic first aid techniques (CPR) and refresh your knowledge regularly.
- Explain to all users, especially children, what to do in an emergency.
- Never dive into shallow water.
- Do not use the spa if you have consumed alcohol or medication that impairs your ability to use it safely.
- If using a spa cover, remove it completely from the water surface before use.
- Protect users from diseases that can be transmitted through water by recommending regular water treatment and hygiene practices.
- Store chemicals out of reach of children.
- Follow all graphic signs posted on or near the spa.
- Store removable ladders safely out of children's reach.
- This product can be used by children aged 8 and older, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, if supervised or instructed on safe use and aware of the dangers. Children are forbidden to play with the product.
- Water attracts children; always cover the pool with a protective cover after use.
- Danger of accidental drowning (especially for children under 5). Take measures to prevent unauthorized access by children.
Water Safety and Chemical Use
- Never dilute chemicals with water. Always add chemicals to water to avoid intense vaporization or reactions that could cause splashing.
- Refer to the "Maintenance" section for cleaning, water care, and draining.
- Do not use the spa while cleaning it with chemicals.
- Manual chemical dosing is not permitted while bathers are in the spa.
- Consult local authorities regarding water resource regulations for filling the spa.
- Do not mix chemical substances. Always add chemicals to water to avoid intense vaporization or active reactions that could cause dangerous splashing of chemicals.
- Information on cleaning, water care, and draining can be found in the "MAINTENANCE" section.
- Do not use the spa during chemical cleaning.
- Manual dosing of chemicals is not permitted while bathers are in the spa.
- Consult local authorities regarding water resource regulations for filling the spa.
- Maintain proper water chemistry: pH 7.4-7.6, Total Alkalinity 80-120 ppm, Free Chlorine 2-4 ppm.
Safe Installation and Storage
- It is not recommended to set up or inflate the spa when the ambient temperature is below 15°C (59°F). Inflate the spa indoors before moving it outdoors.
- If the ambient temperature is below 6°C (42.8°F), the spa heater must be continuously on. The Freeze Shield™ system maintains an internal temperature between 6°C (42.8°F) and 10°C (50°F) to prevent damage from freezing.
- If an error code appears on the display, the Freeze Shield™ system may stop working. Monitor the spa's condition when the ambient temperature drops below 6°C (42.8°F).
- If you will be away for an extended period and there's a risk of temperatures dropping below 6°C (42.8°F), disassemble and store the spa according to instructions.
- If the product will not be used for a long time (e.g., winter), disassemble and store it in a closed area.
- Do not set up the spa on a slippery surface. Check the surface for sharp objects before installation.
- To avoid pump damage, do not operate it unless the pool is filled with water.
- Use only manufacturer-supplied or approved accessories for safety.
- Clean filters regularly to maintain pump performance and reduce water changes.
- Install the spa away from relaxation areas to minimize noise disturbance.
- When the cover is off the spa, do not place it on the ground or dirty surfaces.
- Store the cover in a clean, dry place. Avoid placing it on wooden tables or decks, as it may cause bleaching. Using a cover lifter is recommended.
- Consult a qualified contractor or structural engineer to ensure the support structure can handle the spa's total weight when filled. Check packaging for filled weight information.
- For spas with Wi-Fi, ensure your router supports 2.4 GHz band.
Grounding and Electrical Connections
- The spa must be connected to a grounded outlet.
- Use a qualified electrician to connect the spa pump to the equipotential bonding terminal box using a minimum 2.5 mm² solid copper wire.
Resetting the Heater
- For first-time use or after a long period of non-use, press the reset button on the pump with a thin object.
- If the temperature display does not change after 4-5 hours of heating, press the reset button and restart the heating system.
- If the spa is in direct sunlight and the air temperature is above 35°C (95°F), the heater may not work, displaying error code E08. Wait for cooler temperatures.
Installation
Follow the diagrams on the packaging for installation instructions. Diagrams are for illustration only and may not represent the specific product or scale.
Installation Recommendations
- Install the spa away from relaxation areas to minimize noise.
- Allow at least 1 meter (3 ft) of clearance around the spa.
- Do not use seawater, as salt can corrode internal metal components.
- The spa's filter system is designed for use with a filter cartridge only. Using other components may damage the system.
Inflation Information
- When inflating the spa shell or cover, some air leakage at the hose connection is normal.
- Do not block the air hose openings, as this can damage the shell.
- Do not use an air compressor for inflation.
- Avoid dragging the spa on rough ground, as this can damage the shell. Inflation time is approximate.
Manual Pump Gauge
For Drop Stitch material spas: The gauge shows air pressure above 5 psi. If pressure is below 5 psi, the gauge will not register.
Air Valve Check
For Drop Stitch material spas: If the air valve is loose, use the included wrench to tighten it. Hold the valve from the inside while turning the wrench clockwise. Do not adjust the valve connector while the spa is in use.

Spa Operation
Refer to the control panel diagrams for specific button functions.
Control Panel Functions
- Lock/Unlock Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel. The pump has an automatic lock after 5 minutes of inactivity.
- Energy Saving Timer Button: Allows setting a delayed start for the heating cycle to save energy. Set duration (1-999 hours) and start time (0-999 hours).
- Heat Button: Activates the heating system. The indicator light turns red when heating is on and green when the set temperature is reached. The filter system activates automatically when heating is on.
- Massage System Button: Activates the massage jets, which automatically shut off after 30 minutes. The indicator light turns red when active. Do not run the massage system with the cover on.
- Wi-Fi Models: Feature 2-level massage power adjustment.
Temperature Control
- Use the temperature adjustment buttons ( / ) to set the desired temperature between 20°C (68°F) and 40°C (104°F). The default is 35°C (95°F).
- The °C/°F switch allows changing the temperature display unit.
Water Filtration
- The Filter Button activates the water filter pump. The indicator light turns red when active.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
- Refer to the Wi-Fi instruction manual for setup.
- Ensure your router is broadcasting on the 2.4 GHz band. 5 GHz is not supported.
- Keep the spa within range of the Wi-Fi router.
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength on your phone.
- Ensure correct network name and password are used.
- Interference from other electronic devices may affect Wi-Fi signal stability.
Winter Operation (Freeze Shield™)
- To prevent damage in cold temperatures, keep the spa covered when not in use.
- If ambient temperature drops below 6°C (42.8°F), the heater must remain on to maintain water temperature between 6°C (42.8°F) and 10°C (50°F).
- If the spa is exposed to direct sunlight and temperatures above 35°C (95°F), error code E08 may appear. Wait for cooler temperatures.
- If the spa is not used for extended periods in freezing conditions, disassemble and store it.
- Do not operate the spa if the ambient temperature reaches -10°C (14°F).

Water Care
- Keep spa water clean and chemically balanced. Use appropriate pool chemicals and chlorine/bromine tablets (not granules) in a dispenser.
- Water quality depends on usage frequency and maintenance. If not chemically treated, change water every 3 days.
- Rinse off cosmetics and lotions before entering the spa, as they can degrade water quality.
- Do not add chemicals directly to the water, as this can damage the material.
- Use a test kit to check water chemistry regularly. Maintain recommended levels: pH 7.4-7.6, Total Alkalinity 80-120 ppm, Free Chlorine 2-4 ppm.
- Damage caused by improper chemical use is not covered by warranty. Handle chemicals with care.
Disassembly and Storage
- Drain the spa completely.
- Ensure all parts (shell, cover, pump) are thoroughly dry before storage to prevent mold and damage.
- Store the spa in a dry place with moderate temperatures (10°C/50°F to 38°C/100°F).
- Store the spa shell and cover in the original packaging or a protective box.
Repair
- For PVC material: Use the included repair patch. Clean the damaged area, apply the patch, and press firmly.
- For Duraplus™ material: Use the included PVC patch and adhesive (not included). Clean and dry the area, apply adhesive to the patch, wait 30 seconds, apply the patch, press firmly for two minutes, wait 30 minutes, then inflate.
