Operation Instructions
Battery Installation / Removal
As illustrated in the diagram, unscrew the tail cap, insert the NITECORE 21700 i Series Battery with the positive pole pointing towards the head, and then screw the tail cap on.
Warning:
- Ensure the battery is inserted with the positive (+) end pointing towards the head. The product will not work if the battery is inserted incorrectly.
- When the power indicator is flashing quickly, it indicates that the battery voltage is low. Please charge the battery as soon as possible.
(Diagram Description: An illustration shows the MH12 Pro flashlight with its tail cap unscrewed, revealing the battery compartment. An arrow indicates inserting the 21700 i Series Battery with the positive end towards the flashlight head.)
Charging Function
As illustrated in the diagram, unscrew the charging port cover and connect the flashlight to an external power source (e.g., a USB adapter, a computer, or other USB charging devices) via the USB-C charging cable to begin the charging process.
- During the charging process, the power indicator will flash slowly.
- When the battery is fully charged, the power indicator will turn solid.
- When the flashlight is connected to a power source, it will automatically access the LOW level.

Tactical Momentary Illumination
Half press and hold the Tail Switch to turn on the light momentarily. Release to turn it off.
On / Off
On: When the light is off, full press the Tail Switch until a click sound is heard to turn it on.
Off: When the light is on, full press the Tail Switch until a click sound is heard to turn it off.
User Mode Selection
The MH12 Pro provides 2 user modes: Daily Mode and Tactical Mode. The flashlight comes with Daily Mode as the default setting.
Daily Mode: When the light is on, short press the Mode Button to cycle through the following brightness levels: ULTRA LOW - LOW - MID - HIGH - TURBO. The flashlight has memory function. When turned on again, it will access the previously memorized brightness level.
Tactical Mode: When the light is on, short press the Mode Button to cycle through the following brightness levels: TURBO - HIGH - MID - LOW - ULTRA LOW. The flashlight has memory function. When turned on again, it will access the previously memorized brightness level.
To Select a Desired User Mode:
- Ensure the light is off.
- Loosen the tail cap.
- Press and hold the Mode Button on the head while simultaneously tightening the tail cap.
- Once the tail cap is tightened, the primary white indicator beneath the switches will flash once to indicate Daily Mode, or flash twice to indicate Tactical Mode.
- Release the Mode Button.
Brightness Levels
When the light is on, short press the Mode Button to cycle through the following brightness levels: ULTRA LOW - LOW - MID - HIGH - TURBO.
ULTRA LOW Activation
When the light is off, press and hold the Mode Button to directly access ULTRA LOW.
Special Modes (STROBE / BEACON / SOS)
When the light is off, triple press the Tail Switch to access STROBE Mode. When STROBE Mode is on, short press the Mode Button to cycle through BEACON - SOS - STROBE.
When the light is on, triple press the Mode Button to access STROBE Mode. When STROBE Mode is on, short press the Mode Button to cycle through BEACON - SOS - STROBE.
Short press the Tail Switch to exit special modes and turn off the light.
Power Indication
When the light is off, short press the Mode Button, and the power indicator beneath the switches will flash to indicate the remaining battery power:
- 3 flashes: Remaining power is above 50%.
- 2 flashes: Remaining power is below 50%.
- 1 flash: Remaining power is below 10%.
(Diagram Description: An illustration shows the flashlight's power indicator. It depicts three states: 3 flashes for >50% power, 2 flashes for <50% power, and 1 flash for <10% power.)
When the light is on, the power indicator will display the battery voltage (±0.1V) for 3 seconds. For example, when the battery voltage is at 4.2V, the power indicator will flash 4 times, followed by a 1.5-second pause and 2 more flashes. Different voltages represent the corresponding remaining battery power levels:
Status of Indicator | Power Level |
---|---|
3 Flashes | >50% |
2 Flashes | <50% |
1 Flash | <10% |
The power indicator will flash quickly when the battery voltage is below 3.4V, indicating that the battery should be recharged.
Sensor Protection Function
The MH12 Pro is equipped with a sensor protection function. When the light is on, if there is an obstruction in front of the lens (e.g., in a pocket or backpack), the flashlight will automatically reduce its brightness level to prevent overheating and prolong its lifespan. The light will resume its previous brightness level once the obstruction is removed.
When the light is on, if the sensor protection function is triggered, the power indicator will flash quickly to remind the user. The sensor protection function is only available for TURBO and HIGH levels. The sensor protection function will be automatically disabled when the light is in STROBE, BEACON, or SOS Mode.
It is normal for the light to have a slight deviation in the detection distance when the sensor protection function is triggered due to the different colors of the obstructions.
It is normal for the light to have a slight deviation in the detection distance when the sensor protection function is triggered due to the different colors of the obstructions. The detection distance is approximately 5cm (1.97").
ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation)
The integrated ATR technology regulates the output of the MH12 Pro according to the working condition and ambient environment to maintain the optimal performance.
