Product Overview

The NITECORE EDC35 is a high-performance flashlight featuring a 9-core UHi 40 MAX LED capable of producing up to 5,000 lumens. It offers a maximum beam intensity of 75,700cd and a throw of 550 meters. It is powered by a built-in 6,000mAh Li-ion battery and includes advanced features like a rapid lockout switch, intelligent charging, and an optical sensor for protection.

Warnings

• ⚠️ This product is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. Keep out of reach of children.
• ⚠️ CAUTION! Possible dangerous radiation! DO NOT stare directly into the light beam or shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone!
• The product generates significant heat during prolonged operation. Use with caution and avoid prolonged use of high brightness levels to prevent burns and damage.
• DO NOT cover the product or place objects near the head, as this may cause damage or accidents due to high temperatures.
• DO NOT use the product to illuminate flammable or explosive materials, as high heat may lead to combustion or explosion.
• Use the product in a standard handheld manner to avoid accidents in case of product failure.
• DO NOT submerge the product in liquid when hot, as this can cause irreparable damage due to air pressure differences.
• When storing in enclosed or flammable environments, or for extended periods, turn off the product and activate Lockout Mode to prevent accidental activation and overheating.
• DO NOT expose the product to temperatures above 60°C (140°F) for prolonged periods, as this poses a risk of battery explosion or combustion.
• Recharge with the original charging cable to preserve battery lifespan.
• Recharge every 6 months if left unused for a prolonged time.
• DO NOT disassemble or modify the product, as this will cause damage and void the warranty. Refer to the warranty section for details.

Battery Safety

Improper use of devices with built-in Li-ion batteries can lead to severe battery damage or safety hazards like combustion or explosion. DO NOT use a damaged device. DO NOT disassemble, puncture, cut, crush, or incinerate the device. If leakage or abnormal odor is noticed, stop use immediately and dispose of the device/batteries according to local laws and regulations.

Charging Function

The EDC35 is equipped with an intelligent charging system. Please charge the battery before first use.

Power Connection:

Rotate the USB cover at the tail following the direction of the arrow [▶️] and use the USB cable to connect an external power supply (e.g., USB adapter, power bank) to the charging port.

Charging Indication:

Green power indicators will transition from flashing to steady light to show battery level. When fully charged, charging stops and indicators remain steadily lit.

• Lighting function is available during charging (except LUMIN SHIELD™ and SEARCH).
• Charging time is approximately 3 hours 30 minutes (via 5V/2A adapter).
• Standby time after full charge is approximately 12 months.

Operation

Tactical Momentary Illumination:

• Half press and hold the Tail Button to access SEARCH. Release to turn off.
• Full press and hold the Tail Button to access LUMIN SHIELD™. Release to turn off.

On / Off:

• On: When the light is off, fully press the Tail Button.
• Off: When the light is on, fully press the Tail Button.

Brightness Levels:

When the light is on, half press the Tail Button to cycle through ULTRALOW, LOW, MID, HIGH. The flashlight will recall the previously memorized brightness level upon reactivation.

Direct Access to SEARCH:

When the light is on/off, half press and hold the Tail Button to directly access SEARCH (3,000 lumens). Release to return to the previous status.

Direct Access to LUMIN SHIELD™:

When the light is on/off, full press and hold the Tail Button to directly access LUMIN SHIELD™ (5,000 lumens). Release to return to the previous status.

Lockout / Unlock

The EDC35 features two lockout modes: Half Lockout Mode and Full Lockout Mode.

Half Lockout Mode:

• When the light is on, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up while half/fully pressing and holding the Tail Button to access Half Lockout Mode. The lock icon will appear below the switch.
• In Half Lockout Mode: Half press and hold the Tail Button for SEARCH; full press and hold for LUMIN SHIELD™.

Full Lockout Mode (Default Setting):

• When the light is on/off, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up to access Full Lockout Mode. The lock icon indicates the Tail Button is disabled.
• To access Full Lockout Mode from Half Lockout Mode: Slide the Lockout Switch down [⬇️] to unlock, then turn on the light and slide the switch up [⬆️] again.

Unlock:

In either Lockout Mode, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) down [⬇️] to exit Lockout Mode.

ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation)

The integrated ATR technology regulates the output based on working conditions and ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

Power Indication

• When the light is on, Power Indicators show remaining battery power.
• Half press the Tail Button (when light is off, excluding lockout modes) to display remaining battery power.

Indicator Status:

Note: Recharge when output appears dim or the flashlight becomes unresponsive due to low power.

Sensor Protection Function

When the flashlight is in HIGH mode, the built-in optical sensor detects an obstruction ahead, the brightness automatically decreases to 300 lumens to prevent overheating and prolong lifespan. Once the obstruction is removed, the flashlight returns to the previous brightness level. Sensor sensitivity may vary based on obstruction color and material.

Sensor Status:

• Enabled: The protective sensor is automatically enabled when the flashlight is powered on.
• Temporarily Disable: Briefly half press the Tail Button to temporarily disable the sensor.

Notes:

1. This feature is only available when the flashlight is at HIGH.
2. Keep the front lens clean for optimal sensor performance.

Warranty Details

All NITECORE® products are warranted for quality. Defective products can be exchanged within 15 days of purchase. Repairs are free of charge within 24 months from the date of purchase. A limited lifetime warranty applies thereafter.

The warranty is nullified if:

• The product is broken down, reconstructed, and/or modified by unauthorized parties.
• The product is damaged due to improper use.
