FIRST-TIME SETUP: BLUETOOTH PAIRING
- Activate the Bluetooth function in your device's settings.
- Press and hold the button for 10 seconds. Release it. The light will flash red and blue ?? to indicate pairing mode.
- To connect, select “JLab JBuds Band” from your device’s Bluetooth settings. The light will flash slowly blue ? upon Bluetooth pairing.
RECURRING USE
After initial pairing, the JLab JBuds Band will automatically connect to the device upon next power-on. (Refer to the BUTTON FUNCTIONS instructions)
BUTTON FUNCTIONS
- VOLUME UP: Single click ➕
- NEXT TRACK: Click and hold for 2+ seconds ⏭️
- POWER ON/OFF: Click and hold for 2 seconds ▶️
- PLAY/PAUSE, ANSWER/END CALL: Double click ▶️/?
- REJECT INCOMING CALL: Click and hold for 1 second ?
- ACTIVATE SIRI (iOS) OR “OK GOOGLE” (ANDROID): Double click ?️
- BLUETOOTH PAIRING: (Refer to First-Time Setup: Bluetooth Pairing)
- VOLUME DOWN: Single click ➖
- PREVIOUS TRACK: Click and hold for 2+ seconds ⏮️
EQ MODES
Quickly press both buttons for various EQ settings. JLab JBuds Band will cycle through 3 EQ settings.
- JLab SIGNATURE (One beep): Unmistakable JLab C3™ sound, with amplified vocals and bass.
- BALANCED (Two beeps): Uniform sound, without additional sound enhancements.
- BASS BOOST (Three beeps): Amplified bass and sub-bass.
SOUND ALERTS
- POWER ON: Audible tone
- BLUETOOTH CONNECTED: 2 beeps ??
- LOW BATTERY: “Low battery” voice prompt (less than 20%)
- POWER OFF: Audible tone
CHARGING
- To charge, open the USB cover and connect the cable to a computer or USB power source. The light will turn solid red ? while charging.
- The light will turn solid blue ? when charging is complete.
FITTING
- Choose your ear tip size.
- Position the chosen ear tip onto the earbud. Use the Adjustable Tip Placement technology to select your desired position.
- POSITION 1: Snug fit, deeper insertion.
- POSITION 2: Relaxed fit, shallower insertion.
- Wear the neckband around your neck with the controls facing to the right.
TROUBLESHOOTING CONNECTION ISSUES
JLab JBuds Band Not Visible on My Device
- Turn off Bluetooth ? and turn it back on from your device's settings.
- If JLab JBuds Band remains invisible, repeat the FIRST-TIME SETUP: BLUETOOTH PAIRING instructions.
JLab JBuds Band Not Reconnecting After Power On
- In your device's settings, 'forget' the JLab JBuds Band.
- Turn off Bluetooth ?, then turn it back on from your device's settings.
- Repeat the FIRST-TIME SETUP: BLUETOOTH PAIRING instructions.
Bluetooth Connecting to Unwanted Device
Note: JLab JBuds Band can remember up to 8 devices. The product will attempt to automatically connect to the last used device.
- If you have multiple devices connected to the JLab JBuds Band, turn off Bluetooth ? on devices you do not wish to connect to, and turn on Bluetooth ? on your desired device.
- Press and hold the button for 10 seconds. Release it. The light will flash red and blue ?? to indicate pairing mode.
- To connect, select “JLab JBuds Band” from your device's Bluetooth settings. The light will flash slowly blue ? upon Bluetooth pairing.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
General Warning ⚠️
- Ensure the USB cover is closed and secured. This protects the product from damage by sweat and water.
- Before charging, the JLab JBuds Band earbuds must be completely dry. Exposure to moisture may damage internal components.
- It is good practice to let the product air dry before charging.
Attention ❗
- Avoid moisture or liquid entering the earbud cushions or charging port.
- Avoid exposing the product to extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds, yanking the cable forcefully, or bending the cable at sharp angles.
- Earwax may accumulate on the ear cushions, reducing sound quality. Gently remove earwax using a cotton swab or other small instrument to improve sound quality.
- If you experience discomfort or pain, try reducing the volume or temporarily discontinue use of the product.
- If you typically experience discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult a physician.
- Treat the earbuds like a pair of sunglasses and store them in a safe place when not in use.
