INGMARSÖ 2-Seat Sofa

This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA INGMARSÖ 2-seat sofa, designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Frame Assembly

Attach the two curved side frame pieces to the main body. Ensure the connection points align correctly. ❌ [crossed out connection] Do not force connections.

Step 2: Attach Fabric Sides

Insert rods (Part #100092) into the fabric sleeves. Then, attach these rod-and-fabric assemblies to the frame using screws (Part #10051703). Ensure the rods are correctly aligned. ❌ [crossed out screw] Ensure correct screw type and orientation.

Step 3: Connect Frame

Attach the two connecting rods to the frame using screws (Part #10051703). ❌ [crossed out connection] Ensure proper alignment.

Step 4: Add Crossbars

Attach the two crossbars to the frame using screws (Part #10051703). ❌ [crossed out connection] Ensure proper alignment.

Step 5: Fit Fabric Seat

Fit the fabric seat onto the frame. Ensure the fabric is correctly positioned. ❌ [crossed out fabric] Do not attach incorrectly.

Step 6: Secure Fabric

Secure the fabric to the frame using screws (Part #100092). Use 10 screws in total, distributed evenly around the frame. ❌ [crossed out screw] Ensure correct screw type and placement.

Step 7: Insert Support Bar

Slide the long support bar into the designated channel at the bottom of the fabric seat.

Step 8: Attach Legs

Attach the legs to the frame. Use L-shaped rods (Part #108490), bolts (Part #10044469), and washers (Part #110538) for this step. Tighten securely. ❌ [crossed out bolt] Ensure correct bolt and washer usage.

Step 9: Adjust Fabric Tension

Adjust the tension of the fabric seat by tightening the straps. Ensure the seat is taut and evenly distributed. ⚠️ [warning icon] Do not over-tension the fabric.

Step 10: Place Cushion

Place the seat cushion onto the assembled sofa frame.

Step 11: Tie Straps

Secure the fabric seat by tying the 4 straps to the frame as shown.
