Installation
⚠️ This instruction manual should be kept in a safe place for future reference. If the washer-dryer is sold, transferred, or moved, ensure the manual remains with the machine.
⚠️ Read these instructions carefully; they contain vital information relating to safe installation and operation.
Unpacking and Levelling
Unpacking
- Remove the washer-dryer from its packaging.
- Check for any damage during transportation. If damaged, contact the retailer.
- Remove the 4 protective screws (used during transportation) and the rubber washer with the corresponding spacer from the rear of the appliance. [Diagram showing the rear of the washer-dryer with four protective screws and rubber washers indicated for removal before installation.]
- Close the holes using the provided plastic plugs.
- Keep all parts safely for future use if the appliance needs to be moved. Packaging materials should not be used as toys for children.
Levelling
- Install the washer-dryer on a flat, sturdy floor, away from walls or furniture.
- If the floor is not level, adjust the front feet to compensate for unevenness. The angle of inclination relative to the worktop must not exceed 2°. [Diagram showing the adjustable front feet of the washer-dryer for levelling.]
Correct levelling ensures stability, reduces vibration and noise, and prevents shifting during operation. If placed on carpet, ensure adequate ventilation underneath.
Connecting the Electricity and Water Supplies
Connecting the Water Inlet Hose
- Connect the supply pipe to a cold water tap using a 3/4" gas threaded connection. Run water freely until it is clear before connecting. [Diagram illustrating the connection of the water inlet hose to a cold water tap and the appliance's water inlet.]
- Connect the inlet hose to the washer-dryer's water inlet, located on the top right-hand side at the rear.
- Ensure the hose is not folded or bent.
Water pressure at the tap must be within the specified technical limits. If the inlet hose is too short, contact a specialist or authorized technician. Never use second-hand hoses.
Connecting the Drain Hose
Connect the drain hose, without bending it, to a draining duct or wall drain situated between 65 and 100 cm from the floor. [Diagram showing the drain hose connected to a drain duct or wall drain, with a height recommendation of 65-100 cm from the floor. Another diagram shows connection to an under-sink trap.]
The drain hose can be connected to an under-sink trap. Ensure any blanks or removable ends are removed from the spigot before connecting. If placed over a basin edge, ensure the hose end is not underwater.
⚠️ Avoid hose extensions. If necessary, use one with the same diameter, not exceeding 150 cm. If pushed into a standpipe, do not insert more than 15 cm (6 inches) to prevent self-siphoning.
Electric Connection
Before plugging in, ensure:
- The socket is earthed and compliant with law.
- The socket can sustain the appliance's maximum power load.
- The supply voltage is within the specified limits.
- The socket is compatible with the plug.
The appliance is supplied with a 13 amp fused plug. For electrical connections, especially if modifying the plug or wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
⚠️ WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED. Operations involving mains wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Replacing the fuse: Use a 13 amp ASTA approved fuse (BS 1362). Ensure the fuse cover is refitted.
Removing the plug: If rerouting the cable, replace the plug with a fused 13 ampere rewireable plug or wire directly into a 13 amp cable outlet controlled by a switch.
Disposing of the plug: Make the pins unusable before disposal.
Connecting an alternative plug: Wires are colored: Green & Yellow (Earth), Blue (Neutral), Brown (Live). [Diagram illustrating the wiring of a mains plug, showing the connection of Green & Yellow wire to Earth (E), Brown wire to Live (L), and Blue wire to Neutral (N), along with the fuse and cord grip.]
⚠️ The power supply cable must only be replaced by an authorized serviceman.
⚠️ Warning! The company denies all liability if these norms are not respected.
The First Wash Cycle
After installation, run a wash cycle with detergent and no laundry, using the "Auto Clean" cycle.
⚠️ The washing machine should not be installed outdoors, even in sheltered areas, due to damp and rain.
⚠️ Ensure the mains socket is easily accessible.
⚠️ Do not use extensions or multiple sockets.
⚠️ The power supply cable must never be bent or compressed.
