Notes:
- All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230Vac input, rated load and 25°C of ambient temperature.
- Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1 µF & 47 µF parallel capacitor.
- Tolerance: includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fanless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).
- Installation clearances: 40mm on top, 20mm on the bottom, 5mm on the left and right side are recommended when loaded permanently with full power. In case the adjacent device is a heat source, 15mm clearance is recommended.

Diagrams and Functions
Block Diagram
The block diagram illustrates the internal structure of the power supply. Input power first goes through an EMI Filter and Rectifiers & PFC stage, controlled by PFC Control. This is followed by Power Switching, regulated by PWM Control and AUX Power. Protection circuits including OLP (Over Load Protection), OTP (Over Temperature Protection), OVP (Over Voltage Protection), and OCP (Over Current Protection) are integrated. Output voltage (+Vo, -Vo) is regulated and includes Current Sharing for parallel operation, a DC OK signal, and a PLINK connection for parallel use.

Derating Curve
The Derating Curve shows the relationship between ambient temperature and the maximum allowable load percentage. The curve indicates that the power supply can operate at 100% load up to approximately 50°C. Beyond 50°C, the load capacity decreases linearly with increasing temperature, reaching a lower load percentage at 70°C. The Y-axis represents Load (%) and the X-axis represents Ambient Temperature (°C).
Static Characteristics
The Static Characteristics graph illustrates the relationship between input voltage and the load percentage. It shows that the power supply maintains a high load capacity (around 90-100%) across a wide input voltage range, from approximately 180V to 264V (60Hz). The Y-axis represents Load (%) and the X-axis represents Input Voltage (V) at 60Hz.
Function Manual Details
DC OK Relay Contact
The DC OK relay contact (Pins 1, 2) provides status indication. When the PSU is ON and the DC OK signal is active, the contact is closed. When the PSU is OFF or experiences a DC Fail, the contact is open. The relay contact ratings are a maximum of 30Vdc/1A or 30Vac/0.5A resistive load.
Parallel Use (Droop Mode)
The XDR-960E series supports parallel connection of up to 4 units (3+1) for increased output power using droop mode current sharing. Key requirements for parallel operation include:
- Difference of output voltages among parallel units should be less than 0.1V.
- The total output current must not exceed 90% of the sum of the rated currents of the units.
- When in parallel operation, the minimum output load should be greater than 7% of the total output load.
- If the total output load is less than 7% of the rated load condition, only one unit (master) may operate, with other units (slaves) potentially entering standby mode.
- PLINK lines (Pins 3, 4) must be shorted locally to enable droop parallel use.
- In parallel operation, after an overload or short circuit fault, re-powering is required to recover.
- The "Parallel Use" mode results in the no-load output voltage being approximately 4% higher than the voltage at normal load. For example, for the XDR-960E-24, the no-load output voltage is 24V, and the output voltage at normal load is 23V.
