Hints and Tips
- Sort laundry: By fabric type (cotton, mixed, synthetics, wool, handwash) and colour (separate whites, new colours). Use a mesh bag for delicates/items with hooks.
- Empty pockets: Remove coins, lighters, etc., to prevent damage to laundry or drum.
- Dosage: Follow detergent recommendations for optimal cleaning, residue avoidance, and cost savings.
- Temperature/Duration: Lower temperatures and longer durations are generally more energy-efficient.
- Load sizes: Observe recommended load capacities for water and energy savings.
- Noise/Moisture: Influenced by spin speed; higher speed = higher noise, lower moisture.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Switch off and unplug the machine before cleaning. Clean periodically (at least 4 times/year).
- Outside: Use a soft damp cloth. Avoid glass/general cleaners or scouring powder.
- Water Supply Hose: Check regularly for brittleness/cracks. Replace if damaged.
- Water Filter: Clean regularly to prevent drainage issues. If water doesn't drain, the filter may be clogged.
- Remove plinth (use screwdriver to pry open).
- Place a broad container under the filter to collect water.
- Slowly turn filter counterclockwise to drain water. Close filter when container is full. Repeat until drained.
- Place a cloth to absorb residual water.
- Remove filter anti-clockwise. Clean filter under running water.
- Reinsert filter and reinstall plinth.
Transport and Handling
Never lift by the worktop. Unplug, close water tap, close door/dispenser. Disconnect inlet hose, remove drain hose. Remove residual water from hoses. Secure hoses. Refit transport bolts (reverse of removal). Consult Installation Guide for details.
