6th Sense Live Feature

This feature connects your appliance to the Internet, allowing you to monitor status, get programme updates, set and start programmes, and modify running programmes via the 6th Sense Live app on your smartphone or tablet.

Technical Requirements:

  • A wireless router (2.4Ghz WiFi b/g/n) connected to the Internet. The appliance must be within good wireless network coverage.
  • For Android users: smartphone running Android 4.3 or higher with a 1280x720 screen resolution or higher.
  • For iOS users: smartphone or tablet running iOS 8 or higher.

To use the feature:

  1. Download and install the 6th Sense Live app from your App Store.
  2. Accept the Terms of Use within the app.
  3. Register your washing machine using the application and connect it to your home wireless network.

First Time Use

Upon plugging in the washing machine, it switches on automatically. You will be prompted to set the display language. Use the UP or DOWN keys to select and the OK key to confirm. Subsequently, adjust the washing machine to your local water hardness (select soft, medium, or hard) and determine if you want to use softener or detergent for Tank 2 of the auto dosing system.

First Cycle: To remove manufacturing residues, select the "Cotton" programme at 95°C. Add a small amount of heavy-duty detergent (max 1/3 of recommended quantity for lightly soiled laundry) to the manual dosing compartment. Ensure Auto dosing buttons are off. Start the programme without laundry.

Auto Dosing Function

The washing machine's detergent dispenser has a two-tank system for automatic dispensing of liquid detergent and softener. Before use, follow instructions in the USE AND CARE GUIDE/AUTO DOSING – FIRST USE to set water hardness, Tank 2 content (default: detergent in Tank 1, softener in Tank 2; can be set to detergent if softener is not used), and adjust preset dosing quantities (default: 80ml for Tank 1, 30ml for Tank 2). Fill tanks and apply labels accordingly.

If you prefer manual dosing for a specific programme, deactivate the tanks by pressing their buttons; this deactivation is temporary. The Auto Dosing function will reactivate for the next programme.

When a tank runs low, a warning appears on the display when the machine is switched on and at programme end; the corresponding tank button light blinks. When a tank is empty, an empty tank warning is displayed, indicating manual dosing is required. Refill tanks or dose manually.

To permanently deactivate Auto Dosing, go to Settings > Auto Dosing > Off. To re-enable, set it to On.

IMPORTANT: Never fill tanks with powder detergents. Softener can only be dosed via Tank 2.

Hints and Tips

  • Sort Your Laundry: Sort by fabric type/care label, colour (separate whites and colours, wash new colours separately), and size (mix sizes for efficiency and balance). Wash small items or items with hooks (like bras) in a mesh bag or pillowcase.
  • Empty All Pockets: Remove coins, keys, or other objects that could damage laundry or the drum.
  • Wash Care Labels: Understand symbols: Normal mechanical action, Reduced mechanical action, Much reduced mechanical action, Hand wash only, Do not wash. The temperature symbol indicates the maximum washing temperature.
  • Clean the Water Filter Regularly: Prevents clogging and ensures proper water drainage. Refer to the "CARE AND MAINTENANCE / Cleaning the water filter" section in the Use and Care guide.
  • Savings and Environment: Use recommended maximum load sizes for programmes. Do not exceed detergent dosages; use Auto dosing. Save energy by using lower temperatures (e.g., 40°C instead of 60°C). The Eco Cotton programme is recommended for cottons. Select a high spin speed to reduce drying time. Use Remote Control mode to schedule washes during off-peak energy hours.
