JOINON WALLBOX I-CON Power Supply Connection

Brand: GEWISS

Overview

This guide details the power supply connection for the GEWISS JOINON WALLBOX I-CON electric vehicle charging station. It covers the wiring for both 2-phase plus earth (2P+÷) and 3-phase plus neutral plus earth (3P+N+÷) configurations.

Terminal Blocks

The wallbox features two primary terminal blocks for power connections:

Electronic Board Power Options

The electronic board within the wallbox can receive power through two distinct methods:

  1. Dedicated Line: Power can be supplied via a specific, dedicated line. This option is beneficial for enabling a potential power supply from an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), ensuring continuity.
  2. Main Supply Tap: Alternatively, power can be drawn directly from the main power supply by connecting to the Line 1 (L1) and Neutral (N) terminals.

Diagrammatic Representation

The accompanying diagrams visually illustrate the physical layout of the terminal blocks and the routing of power cables (L1, N, PE for 2-phase; L1, L2, L3, N, PE for 3-phase) for each configuration. They show how the main power input is distributed to both the main supply terminal block and, via the specified methods, to the electronic board terminal block.
