LENA LIGHTING TERRA 3 LED Installation Guide
This document provides installation instructions for the LENA LIGHTING TERRA 3 LED series luminaires (Z, N, P).
General Information and Safety Precautions
Important: Assembly and installation should only be carried out by a qualified person.
Cleaning: Dirt that settles on the diffuser due to normal operation should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Electrical Waste Disposal (WEEE): Products marked with a crossed-out waste container symbol [WEEE symbol] indicate that they must not be disposed of with household waste. Users are obliged to return used electrical and electronic equipment to designated collection points. Proper disposal helps prevent harmful consequences for human health and the environment.

Mounting Surface Requirements
The product is intended for mounting on smooth and even surfaces. The permissible deviation of the ceiling surface from a plane marked on a two-meter reference patch should not exceed 3mm, with a maximum of 3 such deviations over 2 meters. For larger deviations, consult the manufacturer, as accessories for mounting on uneven surfaces may be available.
Installation Steps
The following steps outline the general installation process. Specific details may vary slightly between models (Z, N, P) and mounting types (surface, recessed).
Step 1: Prepare for Mounting
Identify the correct mounting version for your fixture (e.g., 1195x230, 595x300, 595x595). For surface mounting, ensure the ceiling is smooth and level. For recessed mounting, prepare the ceiling opening as per specific requirements.
Step 2: Attach Mounting Brackets
Secure the appropriate mounting brackets to the luminaire body or ceiling. The diagrams show various bracket types and attachment methods. For surface mounting, brackets are typically screwed to the ceiling. For recessed versions, specific clips or frames are used.
Example: Attach bracket (A) to the luminaire using screws [screw] (x2 or x6 as indicated). Then, attach the other end of the bracket to the mounting surface.
Step 3: Suspend the Luminaire
If the luminaire is suspended, attach suspension cables or rods to the designated points on the fixture and the ceiling. Adjust the suspension length as needed.
Diagram Description: Shows suspension rods being attached to the luminaire and ceiling, with height adjustment mechanisms.
Step 4: Cable Adjustment
Use the cable adjustment mechanism to set the desired height or tension. This often involves loosening a locking screw [screw] with a screwdriver, adjusting the cable, and then retightening.
Diagram Description: Illustrates a mechanism for adjusting the suspension cable length, often involving a push-to-loosen action.
Step 5: Wiring Connections
Ensure the power is OFF [power-symbol] before making any electrical connections. Connect the mains supply wires:
- Live [wire L] to terminal L
- Neutral [wire N] to terminal N
- Earth (if applicable) to the earth terminal.
For DALI versions, connect the DALI control wires:
- DALI+ [wire DA+] to terminal DA+
- DALI- [wire DA-] to terminal DA-
Use the provided silicone tubes for wire protection where necessary. Ensure all connections are secure.
Diagram Description: Shows terminal blocks for L, N, and DALI connections. Includes illustrations of wire stripping and insertion.
Step 6: Secure the Luminaire
Once wired, carefully position the luminaire and secure it to the mounting surface or suspension system. Ensure all mounting points are firmly attached.
Specific Note: In some steps, it is instructed: "Do not screw the screw all the way in, leave a 5 mm gap." This is crucial for certain adjustment or alignment features.
Torque: Tighten mounting screws [screw] to 10.5 Nm where specified.
Step 7: Final Checks and Power On
Double-check all electrical connections and mechanical fastenings. Ensure no tools or debris are left inside the fixture. Turn the power ON [power-symbol].
Important Installation Notes
- Ventilation: Do not cover the luminaire with insulating mats or other materials. Ensure a free space of approximately 10 cm is maintained around the installed luminaire for proper heat dissipation and ventilation.
