Troubleshooting
- The keypad does not lock or unlock the lock. Ensure the lock is programmed with at least one user code and that user codes are not disabled. If necessary, restore default settings.
- The keypad does not respond when its keys are pressed (no lights or beep sound). Ensure the cables are connected properly and that the batteries are new and installed correctly.
- The door can be closed with the lock button, but the user code will not open the door. Ensure the user code is correct and that the lock button is pressed after entering the user code. If the door still does not open, use a key to open the door. Contact technical support for further assistance to resolve the issue.
- When the door is closed and the lock button is pressed to lock the door, the lock beeps 3 times. When the door is open and the lock button is pressed to lock the door, the lock does not beep. Ensure the hole in the door frame is drilled at least 1" (25 mm) deep. Ensure the strike is aligned with the latch. If necessary, reposition the strike.
Important Safeguards
- Read all instructions.
- Familiarize yourself with all warning and caution definitions.
- Remind all family members of the safety precautions.
- Limit access to the interior assembly of the lock and routinely verify the settings to ensure they have not been altered without your knowledge.
- Protect your user codes and master code.
- Dispose of batteries according to local laws and regulations.
CAUTION: Prevent unauthorized entry. This lock contains a default master code and user code. After installation and setup, replace both codes with your own codes. Because anyone with access to the interior assembly can reset the lock and change the user codes, you must restrict access to the back panel and routinely check both codes to ensure your own user codes have not been altered without your knowledge.
