Congratulations on purchasing the Akrapovič product. This manual provides instructions for the proper installation and use of your Akrapovič product. It is recommended that installation be performed by individuals skilled in motorcycle exhaust system installation.

Safety and Compliance Warnings
Before Installation
- This manual is specific to the motorcycle indicated on the cover. Installation procedures vary by motorcycle type. Verify product and manual correspondence.
- Exhaust systems can become extremely hot. Ensure the system is completely cool before touching. Allow the exhaust and engine to cool down before starting installation.
- Secure the motorcycle properly to prevent tipping and damage.
- Verify all parts against the parts list on the Akrapovič website (using the QR code or "Schematic view"). Contact the retailer if any parts are missing before proceeding.
- Always check your motorcycle's ground clearance. For advanced users, consider adjusting spring preload for optimal clearance.
- Each exhaust system muffler has a unique serial number on the inlet pipe for authenticity verification. Contact your reseller or Akrapovič partners if you have doubts. This manual and warranty apply only to original products.

General Warning
Akrapovič d.d. and its subsidiaries do not represent that products comply with air/noise emissions or labeling laws of any jurisdiction. Purchasers are responsible for informing themselves and complying with applicable laws.
Basic compliance guidance is available on the Akrapovič website. Refer to enclosed certificates for EC and ECE type approvals.
USA Warning
U.S. states and federal government have laws regulating aftermarket parts that modify or replace original equipment catalysts. Consult local laws before installation. Akrapovič and its sellers make no representation of compliance with these laws.
California Warning
California law prohibits the use of aftermarket parts that modify or replace original catalysts unless an Executive Order is issued or the part is used only on racing vehicles on closed courses. Purchasers are responsible for complying with California laws.

Use Bolt Sealant
Apply 3-4 small drops of bolt sealant to cleaned, degreased threads before tightening bolts. WARNING! Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Do not inhale fumes. Keep out of reach of children.
Use Anti-Seize Lead-Free Copper Paste
Provides protection against seizing, corrosion, and rusting of bolts, threaded ends, nuts, and joints. Also protects against vibration, wear, and impact. WARNING! Avoid eye contact. Keep out of reach of children.
Use Anti-Seizing Grease
Prevents seizing, corrosion, and excessive wear between titanium components. WARNING! Avoid eye contact. Keep out of reach of children.

Removal of Stock Exhaust System or Other Stock Motorcycle Parts
Follow the motorcycle manufacturer's workshop manual for uninstalling original parts. Akrapovič is not liable for issues arising from deviating from these instructions.
Keep stock parts for legal use in circumstances where the Akrapovič system may not be permitted.
Step 1: Prepare Motorcycle
Place the motorcycle on its side stand or a central racing stand on a solid, flat surface.
Step 2: Remove Heat Shield
Unscrew the marked bolt and marked clamp, then carefully remove the heat shield. [Image Description: Figure F 01 shows the removal of the heat shield from the motorcycle exhaust.] ⚠️ CAUTION: Be careful not to injure yourself or damage the motorcycle.
Step 3: Remove Muffler
Unscrew the marked bolt, loosen the marked clamp, and carefully remove the muffler. [Image Description: Figure F 02 shows the removal of the stock muffler from the motorcycle exhaust.] ⚠️ CAUTION: Be careful not to injure yourself or damage the motorcycle.
Installation of the Akrapovič Exhaust System
Step 1: Assemble Clamp Bracket
Assemble the clip-on nut with the clamp bracket from the Akrapovič installation kit as shown. [Image Description: Figure F 03 shows the assembly of the clip-on nut and clamp bracket.] ⚠️ CAUTION: Be careful not to injure yourself.
Step 2: Install Clamp onto Muffler
Install the assembled clamp onto the muffler's inlet as shown. [Image Description: Figure F 04 shows the clamp being installed onto the muffler inlet. An inset shows a closer view of the connection.] ⚠️ CAUTION: Be careful not to injure yourself or damage the muffler.
Step 3: Mount Muffler to Motorcycle
Carefully slide the muffler onto the stock pre-muffler's outlet. Hand-tighten using the stock bolt and nut from the Akrapovič installation kit. [Image Description: Figure F 05 shows the muffler being slid onto the pre-muffler outlet and hand-tightened.] ⚠️ CAUTION: Be careful not to injure yourself or damage the motorcycle.
Step 4: Prepare Heat Shield
Assemble the bolts and heat-resistant washers onto the heat shield. [Image Description: Figures F 06, F 07, and F 08 show the assembly of bolts and heat-resistant washers onto the carbon-fiber heat shield.] ? INSTALLATION TIP: Screw the heat-resistant washers onto the bolts; do not push them on. ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Heat-resistant washers should be placed between the heat shield and its brackets, and between bolt heads and the carbon-fiber heat shield. Be careful not to injure yourself or damage the heat shield.
Step 5: Install Heat Shield
Install the carbon-fiber heat shield onto the muffler and tighten to the specified torque. [Image Description: Figure F 09 shows the carbon-fiber heat shield being installed and tightened onto the muffler, with torque specifications indicated: 4.9 Nm (3.6 ftlb).] ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Be careful not to injure yourself or damage the heat shield.
Step 6: Tighten Muffler Bracket
Position the muffler correctly relative to the motorcycle. Tighten the muffler's bracket bolt and clamp to the specified torques. [Image Description: Figure F 10 shows the muffler bracket bolt being tightened to 22 Nm (16 ftlb). Figure F 11 shows a clamp being tightened to 14 Nm (10 ftlb).] ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Be careful not to damage the motorcycle.
Final Installation
Cleaning
After installation, clean grease spots from all Akrapovič product surfaces to prevent burning. Do not use aggressive chemical cleaners, as they can damage surfaces or stickers.
- Titanium surfaces: Use a soft cloth sprayed with a multi-purpose spray lubricant (e.g., WD-40®), then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Carbon-fiber surfaces: Use a soft dry cloth sprayed with an all-purpose foam cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Painted surfaces: Use a soft cloth sprayed with an all-purpose foam cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Chrome plated surfaces: Use a soft cloth sprayed with an all-purpose foam cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
- Stainless steel surfaces: Use a soft cloth sprayed with a contact cleaner, then wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Checks
Ensure all nuts and bolts are sufficiently tightened. If the Akrapovič product contacts other parts, readjust or contact an authorized dealer.
Reinstall Stock Parts
Reinstall any removed stock parts (cowlings, radiator, etc.). Consult the vehicle manufacturer's workshop manual for correct procedures and torque specifications.
Maintenance of the Akrapovič Product
- Periodically check that all bolts and springs are sufficiently tightened. Readjust if the product contacts other parts, or contact your authorized dealer.
- ⚠️ CAUTION: After running the engine for 30 minutes, retighten the bolts of the Akrapovič carbon-fiber heat shield.
- IMPORTANT: White smoke from the muffler during the first 100 km after replacement is normal.
- IMPORTANT: Changes in exhaust system color due to high temperatures are normal.
- ⚠️ CAUTION: Never stand behind the muffler.
- IMPORTANT: Do not use automotive wheel cleaners or cleaning products containing acidic additives.
- IMPORTANT: Use caution when using power/pressure washers on painted/lacquered surfaces to avoid damage.
- Akrapovič products are designed for specific vehicles. Ensure end-of-life products are disassembled as per the schematic diagram on the website and components are scrapped responsibly according to local laws. Akrapovič is not responsible for the scrapping process or related information.
Troubleshooting
