Installation Environment

For optimal performance, adhere to the following installation recommendations:

Device Installation

  1. Stick the mounting template sticker to the wall and drill holes according to the template.
  2. Fix the backplate on the wall using wall mounting screws.
  3. Place the device onto the backplate.
  4. Mount the device to the backplate using the provided security screws.

Standalone Installation

The SC800 can be installed as a standalone unit.

Power Connection

Recommended AC Adapter specifications:

If sharing power with other devices, use an AC Adapter with higher current ratings.

Ethernet Connection

Connect the device and computer using an Ethernet cable. Ensure that the IP addresses of the server (PC) and the device are in the same network segment when connecting to the software.

To change the IP address:

  1. Tap on [COMM.]
  2. Tap on [Ethernet]
  3. Tap on [IP Address]
  4. Enter the desired IP address and tap [OK].

Wiegand Reader Connection

The SC800 supports Wiegand reader connections. The 485A and 485B terminals can be connected to a Barrier gate or a 485 Reader, but not both simultaneously.

Door Sensor, Exit Button, Alarm & Auxiliary Connection

The device can be connected to door sensors, exit buttons, alarms, and auxiliary devices. The terminal block includes specific pins for these connections.

Lock Relay Connection

The system supports both Normally Opened (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) locks.

Important: Do not reverse the polarity. The device can either power the lock or share power with the lock.

RS232 Connection

The SC800 can be connected to a printer or other devices via RS232. The connection utilizes the TX232 and RX232 terminals.

New User Registration

Users can be registered directly on the device, via the ZKBio Access IVS software, or through a mobile phone application.

Method 1: Registering on the Device

  1. Tap [M/OK] to enter the main menu.
  2. Navigate to [User Mgt.] > [New User].
  3. Enter User ID, set User Role (e.g., Normal User, Enroller, Super Admin), and register Card Number and Password.

Method 2: Register on ZKBio Access IVS Software

  1. Set IP address and cloud service server address on the device.
  2. In the software, go to [Attendance] > [Attendance Device] > [Device] > [Search Device] to find the device.
  3. Click [Add] to add the device, selecting Attendance Area and Timezone.
  4. Register new users via [Personnel] > [Person] > [New].
  5. Synchronize data from the software to the device using [Attendance Device] > [Device] > [Control] > [Synchronize Software Data to the Device].

Method 3: Register on the Phone

  1. In ZKBio Access IVS software, go to [Personnel] > [Parameters] and enter the QR Code URL (e.g., "http://Server address: Port").
  2. Scan the generated QR code or access the URL via a mobile phone to register users.
  3. Registered users will appear in [Personnel] > [Pending Review] for approval and assignment to a department.

Ethernet and Cloud Server Settings

Configure network parameters via [M/OK] > [COMM.] > [Ethernet]. A successful TCP/IP connection is indicated by the $\square$ icon. Configure cloud server settings via [M/OK] > [COMM.] > [Cloud Server Settings]. A successful connection to the server is indicated by the $\boldsymbol{\Delta}$ icon.

Note: When pairing with ZKBio Access IVS / ZKBioTime 8.0 software, ensure the Server Address matches the server's IP address and the Server Port matches the software's service port.

Access Control

Access control parameters can be configured by navigating to [M/OK] > [Access Control]. Options include Access Control Options, Time Rule Settings, Holidays, Combined Verification, and Anti-passback Setup.

Anti-passback Direction: Options include No Anti-passback, Out Anti-passback, In Anti-passback, and In/Out Anti-passback.

Duress Options: Includes Alarm on Password and Alarm Delay(s).

Attendance Search

View attendance records by navigating to [M/OK] > [Attendance Search]. Enter the User ID and select a time range to retrieve specific records.

Device Type Settings

Configure device type settings by navigating to [M/OK] > [System] > [Device Type Settings] > [Device Type].

Card Management

The SC800 supports multi-card management. Select the desired card type via [M/OK] > [System] > [Card Management]. Supported card types include 125KHz, 13.56MHz, FELICA, HID iCLASS, MIFARE, and NFC P2P.

Login WebServer

The WebServer allows remote viewing of device information, system setup, user management, and system upgrades.

  1. Open a web browser and enter the address: https://[Serial IP Address]:1443 (e.g., https://192.168.1.201:1443).
  2. Log in using the default username 'admin' and password 'admin@123'.

Note: Upon first login, reset the password. It is recommended to register a super administrator for easier password recovery.

Forgot Password

Method 1 (With Super Admin):

  1. Click the reset icon on the login interface.
  2. Enter the super admin's User ID and Password for verification.
  3. After successful reset, log in with the default credentials.

Method 2 (Without Super Admin):

  1. If the device is connected to the network and ZKBio Access IVS / ZKBioTime 8.0, register a new super admin user in the software ([Personnel] > [Person] > [New]).
  2. Synchronize all data to the device ([Access] > [Device] > [Control] > [Synchronize All Data to Devices]).
  3. Reset the password using Method 1 with the newly registered super admin.

Method 3:

If a super admin is not registered and the device cannot connect to the server, contact ZKTECO after-sales support for assistance.

New User Registration (WebServer)

Register new users via the WebServer by clicking [All Users]. Enter User ID, name, password, and card number, then set the user role and access control role.
