General Installation Information
Installation must be performed in compliance with current local construction and plumbing regulations. If in doubt, contact a professional.
Safety First: Switch off the main shut-off valve before changing the mixer tap.
Parts Included
The following parts are included with your ÄLMAREN mixer tap:
- Main tap body with spout and handle
- Mounting bracket (triangular plate)
- Securing nuts and washers
- Flexible hoses
- Allen key
- Aerator/Flow Guide
Note: Silicone sealant is not included but is recommended for sealing open surfaces to prevent water penetration.
Installation Steps
-
Prepare the Sink/Worktop: Drill a hole of Ø 34-37 mm (1 3/8" - 1 1/2") in the sink or worktop. Ensure the maximum thickness of the worktop is 65 mm (2 9/16").
-
Mount the Tap: Insert the tap through the prepared hole. From underneath, place the mounting bracket and secure it with the provided nuts and washers. Do not overtighten.
-
Connect Hoses: Connect the flexible hoses to the tap's water inlets. Ensure a secure connection but avoid overtightening, as this can damage the hoses or washers.
-
Attach the Spout (if applicable): Some models may require attaching the spout separately. Follow the specific diagram for this step.
-
Flush the System: Before first use, unscrew the Aerator/Flow Guide using a coin. Allow water to run freely for a few minutes to flush out any debris. Screw the Aerator/Flow Guide back in place until it stops. Do not overtighten.
Operation and Maintenance
- The tap spout can rotate 360°.
- The handle allows for 120° of movement for temperature and flow control.
- Leak Check: Check at regular intervals to ensure the installation is not leaking.
- Water Flow: The tap is equipped with an aerator for high-pressure systems. If the water flow is weak, replace it with the included low-pressure aerator.
Technical Specifications

- Maximum Temperature: 80°C (176°F)
Important Notes
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals on the tap finish.
