IKEA ÄLMAREN Kitchen Mixer Tap: Care and Cleaning Instructions

General Care

Before using the mixer tap for the first time, unscrew the handspray and let the water run through the hose for a few minutes. Then screw it back on.

Daily Cleaning

For daily cleaning of your mixer tap, use a soft damp cloth with a mild washing up detergent or soap, if necessary.

What to Avoid:

Scouring powder
Steel wool
Detergents that contain calcium-dissolving agents
Detergents containing alcohol
Abrasive cleaners

Cleaning Process:

Rinse the tap with water.
Dry and polish with a clean, dry cloth.

Removing Limescale Deposits

To remove calcium deposits, use ordinary white vinegar diluted in water. Rinse thoroughly with plain water afterwards.

Filter Maintenance

We recommend cleaning any filters on the mixer tap by rinsing them with clean water once a year.
