Notice

Warning: Do not smoke inside the cab or expose the enclosure to direct flames. The cab is flammable.

Before Installation

  1. Read these instructions thoroughly before opening and installing the Kawasaki Teryx 2014-2017 Full Cab with Polycarbonate Windshield.
  2. Installation is best performed when the temperature is 70 degrees F. or warmer. Temperature affects the adhesive hook and loop fastener; if conditions prevent installation in warmer weather, store the adhesive hook and loop fastener at room temperature prior to installation.
  3. Carefully open the carton and remove the enclosure on a large, clean, and flat surface free of dirt.
  4. Check over the parts included in the carton against the parts list below.

Assembly Order

  1. Rear Window
  2. Doors
  3. Polycarbonate Windshield (Refer to separate instructions provided with the windshield)
  4. Top Cap

Installation: Rear Window

  1. Begin by placing two 4" adhesive hook and loop strips on each side of the Teryx where the side tube meets the top tube. (Visual description: The image shows a hook and loop strip being applied to the junction of a vertical and horizontal roll cage tube.)
  2. Hang the Rear Window from these adhesive strips, ensuring it is centered properly.
  3. Attach the two double-sided hook and loop strips at the very top corner of the Rear Window. Pull the top of the Rear Window tight from side to side. Use one 3" adhesive strip at each double-sided hook and loop strip to secure it from moving. (Visual description: The image shows a close-up of hook and loop fasteners being applied to the top corner of the rear window and the roll cage.)
  4. Work your way down each side of the Rear Window, attaching the double-sided hook and loop strips to the center side bar. (Visual description: The image shows arrows pointing to multiple attachment points along the side bar of the UTV frame where the rear window is secured.) Note: The Rear Window is designed to leave most of the center side bar exposed to ensure magnets in the doors hold effectively; do not pull the sides of the Rear Window too tightly.
  5. Attach the straps along the bottom of the Rear Window to the frame of the seat under the bottom cushion. (Visual description: The image shows a strap with a buckle being attached to a seat frame component beneath the seat cushion.)

Installation: Doors

  1. Begin by placing a 4" adhesive hook and loop strip on the frame where the center side bar connects to the top of the roll cage. If the Rear Window is already installed, attach this strip to the hook and loop fastener on the outside of the Rear Window. (Visual description: The image shows a hook and loop strip being applied to the roll cage near the top of the side bar, similar to the rear window attachment point.)
  2. Line the door up with the frame and begin attaching the double-sided hook and loop strips, similar to how they were attached for the Rear Window. (Visual description: The image shows multiple arrows pointing to hook and loop attachment points along the roll cage and frame where the door is secured.)
  3. After attaching the front and top double-sided strips, attach the strip at the very top rear corner of the door. If the Rear Window is installed, this strip may be in the same location or next to the Rear Window's attachment; overlap them if necessary. (Visual description: The image shows a close-up of hook and loop straps being secured at the top rear corner of the door frame.)
  4. The bottom of the door has hook and loop fastener sewn across its entire length. Place a 20" adhesive hook and loop strip on the outside of the door to match the bottom of the soft door. Additionally, attach a 10" piece of hook and loop fastener vertically on the front corner of the door. (Visual description: The image shows a UTV door with large hook and loop strips applied to its bottom edge and front vertical edge.)

Installation: Polycarbonate Windshield

At this point, install the polycarbonate windshield in accordance with the separate installation instructions provided with it. The only variation is to wait until the Top Cap is installed before attaching the bent brace along the top of the windshield.

Installation: Top Cap

  1. The Top Cap requires the use of 4 out of the 6 supplied straps. Use the two straps with a grommet on one end for the front attachments, and the two straps with hook and loop fastener sewn on one end for the rear attachments. The other two straps with double-sided hook and loop fastener are only used if the Top Cap is installed without a windshield.
  2. Place the Top Cap over the vehicle with the pointed end towards the front. Remove the thumb nuts that secure the bottom of the top windshield section. Place the grommet of a front strap over the corresponding bolt and replace the thumb nut, ensuring the strap points upwards. (Visual description: The image shows a strap with a grommet attached to a bolt on the windshield frame, secured by a thumb nut.)
  3. The rear of the Top Cap is secured using straps with double-sided hook and loop fastener. Take the 6" adhesive hook and loop strips and wrap them around the roll cage approximately 12" below the back of the Top Cap. Then, take the end of the strap with the hook and loop fastener and wrap it around the roll cage bar, securing it tightly. Finally, run the other end of the strap through the loop and pull it tight. (Visual description: The image shows a strap attached to the rear of the Top Cap, wrapping around a roll cage tube and secured with hook and loop fastener.)
  4. Once all straps are in place, run them through the buckles. Pull them tight, ensuring the top is centered and the side seams align correctly along the roll cage. (Visual description: The diagram shows how to lace webbing through a buckle mechanism.)
  5. With the Top Cap in place, install the bent brace across the top of the windshield. The front of the Top Cap should overlap the windshield and cover the bolt holes for the brace. You will need to cut small holes in the Top Cap to allow the bolts to pass through it and the windshield. This seals the gap and blocks wind from entering the vehicle. (Visual description: The image shows the bent brace installed across the top of the windshield, with the Top Cap material extending over it and holes cut for the bolts.)

Cleaning and Storage Recommendations

  1. Before removing the Falcon Ridge Cab for storage, ensure it is very clean to prevent scratching the window panels. Clean using a soft rag or sponge with a mild liquid detergent soap and warm water solution. Never rub the windows with a dry cloth or rag. Let the Cab dry thoroughly before attempting to roll it for storage.
  2. It is important to roll the Cab up for storage rather than folding it, as folding can damage the windows. Carefully roll up the Cab similarly to how it was packed at the factory. On a large, clean, and flat surface, fold the doors over the rear panel first, then interleave the top and windshield on top of the doors. Begin rolling the Cab into a roll approximately 8 inches in diameter. Store the rolled Cab back into its carton at a normal room temperature. Avoid exposing the Cab to extreme hot or cold temperatures during storage.
  3. A special cleaner conditioner is available from Falcon Ridge that can greatly increase the service life of the Cab Enclosure. Additional hook and loop sets can also be ordered if needed.

If ordered from one of Falcon Ridge's distributors, contact them directly to understand their return policy. Once your item reaches the Falcon Ridge production facility, the customer satisfaction team will inspect it to ensure it is unused and in factory-new condition.

Note: All windshields must be returned with the original protective film intact and not removed. Refund or replacement of a windshield will only be processed on items with original protective film or if the windshield is defective.

Items must be properly packaged in the original shipping carton to protect them during transit and ensure they arrive back factory fresh and in resalable condition. Any returned items that have been used, altered, or damaged will not be eligible for a refund. All contents, including instruction manuals, accessories, hardware, hook and loop fasteners, etc., must be included in the return shipment. Only items in OEM factory-new condition will be approved.
