Product Introduction

The Shelly Plus Add-on is a galvanically isolated sensor interface designed to extend the functionality of Shelly Plus devices. It allows for the connection of various sensors, including digital temperature and humidity sensors, potentiometers, thermistors, and auxiliary digital signals.

Installation Instructions

⚠️ CAUTION! Danger of electrocution. Mounting/installation of the Device to the power grid must be performed with caution by a qualified electrician.

⚠️ CAUTION! Danger of electrocution. Every change in the connections must be done after ensuring there is no voltage present at the Device terminals.

⚠️ CAUTION! Use the Device only with a power grid and appliances which comply with all applicable regulations. A short circuit in the power grid or any appliance connected to the Device may damage the Device.

⚠️ CAUTION! Do not connect the Device to appliances exceeding the given max load!

⚠️ CAUTION! Connect the Device only in the way shown in these instructions. Any other method could cause damage and/or injury.

⚠️ CAUTION! Do not install the Device where it can get wet.

If you are installing the Shelly Plus Add-on to a Shelly Plus device that is already connected to the power grid, ensure that the breakers are turned off and there is no voltage on the terminals of the Shelly Plus device. This can be verified with a phase tester or multimeter.

Attaching the Shelly Plus Add-on

Attach the Shelly Plus Add-on to the Shelly Plus device as shown in Figure 3. Ensure the brackets (A) on the Add-on lock onto the hooks (B) on the Shelly Plus device. Be careful not to bend the header pins (C) when inserting them into the Shelly Plus device header connector (D).

Connecting Sensors and Devices

If the Shelly Plus device to which the Add-on is attached has not yet been connected to the power grid, install it following its specific user and safety guide.
