SFA Saniaccess 3 Installation and User Manual
1. Description
The SFA Saniaccess 3 is a macerator pump unit manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified factory, ensuring high levels of performance, safety, and reliability when installed and used correctly according to the instructions provided. This device is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with limited physical, sensory, or mental abilities, or those with minimal experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised and receive necessary instructions for using the device, with the help of a person responsible for their safety. Children should be monitored to ensure they do not play with the device.
2. Applications
This compact lift pump unit is designed for removing wastewater from a horizontal outlet toilet, shower, bidet, or washbasin (depending on the model). It conforms to EN 12050-3 and European standards for electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility. The Declaration of Performance (DoP) can be found on the SFA website.
3. Installation
The unit must be installed in the same room as the toilet and any other connected sanitary appliances. It should be easily accessible for inspection and maintenance. Installation and operation must comply with local regulations and the EN 12056-4 standard. To optimize soundproofing, ensure the WC pan does not contact walls, is placed on a level surface, and the discharge pipe is correctly fixed with fastenings no more than one meter apart.
3.1. Electrical Connection
Electrical connections should only be made after all other connections are finalized. The installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The unit requires a 220-240V, 50/60Hz, 400W, 1.9A supply, protected by a 30mA GFCI. Ensure the power is OFF at the main switch before wiring. All wiring must conform to BS7671 requirements. Do not connect to a conventional plug and socket; it must be wired into a fused, unswitched, fixed wiring connector with a 5-amp fuse. The mains lead wires are colored Brown (Live), Blue (Neutral), and Green/Yellow (Earth).
4. Commissioning the Unit
After all hydraulic and electrical connections are made, flush the toilet several times. Check that all seals and connections are watertight. Verify the watertightness of connections to sanitary appliances: toilet, shower, bidet, or washbasin.
5. Maintenance
WARNING! In case of prolonged absence, turn off the main water supply and protect the installation against freezing temperatures.
Care of your unit: To remove scale and clean the macerator and bowl, use the SANIFLO Cleanser/Descaler. Disconnect power, pour descaler into the pan, leave for 1-2 hours, reconnect power, and rinse by flushing twice. Perform this every 3 months on average, adjusting frequency based on water hardness.
6. Troubleshooting
IN ALL CASES, DISCONNECT THE MACERATOR FROM THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE ANY INTERVENTION.
