SFA SANIBEST® PRO B85
Installation and Maintenance Instructions
1. Description
The SANIBEST® PRO B85 macerator pump is manufactured in a factory certified to ISO 9001, ensuring a high level of performance, safety, and reliability when installed and used according to the instructions provided. This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory, or mental abilities, or those lacking experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised and receive necessary instructions from a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.
2. Applications
This appliance is a compact lift pump unit designed for removing wastewater from a horizontal outlet toilet, shower, bidet, or washbasin (depending on the model). It complies with EN 12050-3 and European standards for electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
3. Installation
The unit should be installed in the same room as the toilet and any other connected sanitary appliances. It must be easily accessible for inspection and maintenance. Installation and operation must comply with local regulations and EN 12056-4. To optimize acoustic performance, it is important to:
- Position the unit so it does not touch a wall.
- Place the unit on a perfectly level surface.
- Secure the discharge pipe correctly, with fastenings no more than one meter apart.
Electrical Connection
Connect the electrical supply only after all water connections are finalized. Electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified person. The unit must be placed so the power socket is accessible. The power supply circuit must be earthed (Class I) and protected by a high-sensitivity residual current device (30mA). Warning: Ensure the electricity is turned OFF at the main switchboard before wiring to the connector. All wiring must conform to BS7671 requirements for electrical installations. Do not connect the unit to a conventional plug and socket; it must be wired into a fused, unswitched, fixed wiring connector fitted with a 5-amp fuse.
4. Commissioning
Flush the toilet several times, checking that all seals and connections are watertight. Verify the watertightness of connections with sanitary appliances: toilet, shower, bidet, or washbasin (depending on the model).
5. Maintenance
WARNING!!! In case of prolonged absence, it is essential to turn off the water supply and protect the installation against freezing.
Cleaning/Descaling
To descale and clean the macerator and the bowl, regularly use a suitable descaling product, such as the SFA SANIBROYEUR Cleanser/Descalent, designed to remove scale while respecting the internal components of the unit.
6. Troubleshooting
IN ALL CASES, DISCONNECT THE MACERATOR FROM THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE PERFORMING ANY INTERVENTION.
