The NUX NCH-3 Voodoo Vibe is a compact, mini-sized rotary speaker simulator pedal, inspired by the classic Uni-Vibe effect. It offers two distinct sound modes: Vibe and Chorus, and features a Smart Tap Tempo function for precise speed control.

Controls and Indicators
The pedal features several controls and indicators to shape your sound:
- SPEED Knob: Adjusts the speed of the modulation effect (vibrato or chorus).
- VOLUME Knob: Controls the overall output level of the pedal.
- INTENSITY Knob: Sets the depth or intensity of the effect.
- FOOTSWITCH: Engages or disengages the effect. A green or red LED indicates the effect status (ON/OFF).
- TAP Switch & Indicator:
- Short Press: Toggles between Chorus Mode (Blue LED) and Vibe Mode (Red LED). In Chorus mode, the INTENSITY knob affects sweep depth; in Vibe mode, it controls pitch modulation.
- Long Press (while powering on): Switches between Mono and Stereo input/output modes. The LED flashes blue for Mono mode and red for Stereo mode.
- INPUT Jack: A 1/4" TRS input for connecting your instrument. Supports stereo input when the pedal is set to stereo mode.
- OUTPUT Jack: A 1/4" TRS output for connecting to your amplifier. Supports stereo output when the pedal is set to stereo mode.
- DC Jack: Connects to a 9V DC power supply with a center-negative polarity (minimum 100mA recommended).
- USB-C Port: Used for firmware updates. Connect to a computer to download and install the latest firmware from the NUX website.
- Mode Indicator LEDs: Red indicates Vibe mode; Blue indicates Chorus mode.
Firmware Updates
NUX periodically releases firmware updates to add new features or improve existing ones. To update the firmware:
- Connect the pedal to your computer via USB-C cable.
- Press and hold the footswitch while connecting the power supply to enter update mode.
- Visit the NUX website (https://www.nuxefx.com/home.html) and navigate to the NCH-3 product page to download the latest firmware updater for Mac or Windows.
- Unzip the downloaded file and launch the "NUX Device Updater" application.
- Click "Select File" and choose the firmware file (.bin) from the extracted folder.
- Click "Start Update" to begin the process.
- Once the update is complete (indicated by "Update Finish" or "successfully updated"), restart the pedal.
Note: If no updates are available on the website, it may mean the current firmware is already the latest version.
