Installation Guide

2.0 Side Panels Disassembly

To remove the side panels, locate and remove the screws on the rear of the chassis. Once the screws are out, the side panel can be opened or detached.

2.1 Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

1. Position the Power Supply Unit (PSU) in its designated bay within the computer case.

2. Align the PSU's supporting bridge correctly and secure the PSU firmly using the provided screws.

2.2 Motherboard Installation

1. Place the computer chassis on a stable, flat surface.

2. Carefully install the motherboard into its correct mounting location inside the chassis and secure it using the appropriate screws.

2.3 5.25" Device Installation

1. First, remove the protective cover from the 5.25" drive bay.

2. Slide the 5.25" device (such as an optical drive) into the drive bay until it clicks and locks into place. To release the device, press the integrated tool-free mechanism.

2.4 3.5" & 2.5" HDD Installation

The Suppressor F31 supports both 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs) using dedicated trays and mounting points.

Type A:

1. Extend the HDD tray from its housing.

2. Place your 2.5" or 3.5" drive onto the tray and secure it with screws.

3. Slide the loaded HDD tray back into its designated slot within the HDD cage.

Type B:

This type refers to an alternative mounting method for drives, typically involving direct mounting or different tray designs as depicted in the original diagrams.

Type C (ODD Tray Installation):

This section details the installation process for Optical Disk Drives (ODDs) using a specific tray, likely similar to the HDD trays.

2.5 PCI Card Installation

The case accommodates PCI and PCIe expansion cards through two primary methods:

Type A: Direct Installing to Motherboard

Expansion cards are installed directly into the motherboard's PCI-E slots.

Type B: Extend Installing to Motherboard (Optional)

This method may involve using an extension cable (not included) for specific configurations, allowing cards to be mounted in different orientations or locations.

2.6 Air Cooling Installation

The chassis is designed to support multiple fan configurations for optimal airflow management:

  • Top: Supports up to two 20cm fans.
  • Rear: Supports up to three 14cm fans or three 12cm fans. Alternatively, one 14cm or one 12cm fan can be installed.
  • Front: Supports one 20cm fan, two 14cm fans, or two 12cm fans.
  • Bottom: Supports two 14cm fans or two 12cm fans.
  • Side Panel (For No Window Side Panel Only): Supports one 14cm fan or one 12cm fan.

2.7 Liquid Cooling Installation

The Suppressor F31 is equipped to handle various liquid cooling radiator sizes:

  • Top: Supports one 36cm or one 28cm radiator.
  • Rear: Supports one 12cm or one 14cm radiator.
  • Front: Supports one 36cm or one 28cm radiator.
  • Bottom: Supports one 12cm or one 14cm radiator.

2.8 Filter Installation

Instructions are provided for installing dust filters, typically located at air intake points to maintain internal cleanliness.

2.9 Soundproofed Cover Installation

This section details the process of attaching sound-dampening covers to the top panel and side panels (specifically for the version without a side window) to minimize operational noise.

2.10 Door Lock Usage

Guidance on operating the case door's locking mechanism, which involves securing the door by buckling a rubber band.

Chapter 3: Leads Installation Guide

This chapter covers the correct connection of internal cables and front panel headers to the motherboard.

  • Case LED Connection: Identify and connect the front panel LED and switch leads to the corresponding pins on the motherboard's panel header. Consult your motherboard manual for precise pinout configurations.
  • USB 2.0 Connection: Refer to your motherboard's user manual for instructions on locating and connecting USB 2.0 headers.
  • USB 3.0 Connection: Verify that your motherboard supports USB 3.0 connectivity. Connect the USB 3.0 cable to an available USB 3.0 port on the motherboard.
  • Audio Connection: Connect the front panel audio connector to the motherboard's audio header. It is crucial to select a motherboard that supports either AC'97 or HD Audio (Azalia) standards, as using an incompatible connection may damage the audio hardware. Pinout diagrams are provided for Audio Azalia, Audio AC'97 functions, and USB 3.0 connections to aid in correct identification.
