Getting Started: Power On & Pairing

Smart Power On

To switch the earbuds on, simply open the lid of the charging case when the earbuds are inside. The earbuds automatically power on, connect, and enter connection mode thanks to the Integrated Wake-up Technology (IWP).

Manual Power On

Alternatively, long touch the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on both earbuds for 3 seconds to manually power them on.

Connection Mode

After powering on, the earbuds enter Connection Mode, indicated by white LED flashes. This mode lasts for 3 minutes. If pairing is missed, reconnect the earbuds and repeat the procedure.

Pairing

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone or media device and scan for devices.

2. Search for "Airdopes 183" and pair.

Your earbuds are now connected successfully via Bluetooth. Airdopes 183 automatically reconnects to previously connected devices.

Single Earbud Usage

Both earbuds can be used independently in mono mode. Use Smart or Manual Power On for the desired earbud.

The selected earbud will enter connection mode (indicated by white LED flashes). Turn on Bluetooth on your device, search for 'Airdopes 183', and connect.

Note: To switch to Stereo mode, take out the other earbud from the case. It will automatically power on and pair with the selected earbud, enabling Stereo usage. In Mono mode, track skipping or returning to previous tracks is not possible.

Charging

Charge the Earbuds

1. Insert the earbuds back into the charging case in the correct orientation.

2. When the case lid is closed, the case LED stays solid for 5 seconds to indicate that the earbuds are being charged.

3. Once fully charged, the charging case automatically switches off to save power, and the case LED stays off.

Note: It is recommended to fully charge the earbuds before first use. Keep the case lid closed while charging. If the battery is 20% or below, the LED blinks once every 30 seconds with a low battery prompt.

Charge the Case

Connect one end of the provided Type-C cable to the case and the other end to a computer, wall adapter, or power bank.

The case LED flashes white while charging. A solid white LED indicates a full charge.

Case LED Indication:

• When the case lid opens or closes:
• Case Remaining Battery less than 70%: LED flashes thrice.
• Case Remaining Battery more than 70%: LED stays solid for 3 seconds.

Basic Functions

• Voice Assistant ⚙️: Long touch the CTC on the left earbud for 3 seconds to activate your device's voice assistant.
• Answer Call ?: Single tap the CTC on either earbud to answer an incoming call.
• Hang Up/Reject Call ?: Double tap the CTC on either earbud to end or reject a call.
• Play/Pause Music ▶️: Single tap the CTC on either earbud to play or pause music.
• Next Track ▶️: Double tap the right earbud's CTC while music is playing to skip to the next song.
• Previous Track ▶️: Double tap the left earbud's CTC while music is playing to return to the previous song.
• BEAST™ Mode: Long touch the right CTC for 3 seconds to switch to Low Latency mode, also known as BEAST™ Mode. A sound prompt confirms activation. Long touch again for 3 seconds to return to normal mode. This mode is designed for gamers to significantly reduce latency and improve the gaming experience.
• ENx™ Technology: Your Airdopes are equipped with ENx™ (Environmental Noise Cancellation) technology by default, which helps in producing clear voice delivery across voice calls.

Note: Volume control is only available via the media device.

Voice Assistant Activation

1. Long touch the CTC on the left earbud for 3 seconds.

2. The respective voice assistant screen will pop up, allowing you to place commands.

Example Commands: "What is the weather?", "Play a song", "Set a reminder".

Tip: If the voice assistant does not trigger, ensure the functionality is enabled via your media device's settings.

Power Off

Smart Power Off

1. After usage, remove both earbuds from your ears.

2. Place the earbuds back into the charging case in the correct orientation and close the lid.

The earbuds will automatically switch off and enter charging mode.

Manual Power Off

1. Long touch both CTCs for 8 seconds to manually power off the earbuds.

2. Place them back inside the case and close the lid.

Factory Reset

Perform a factory reset if you encounter any difficulty while operating your Airdopes. Note: Before performing the reset, clear "Airdopes 183" from your device's pairing history by "forgetting" the device.

1. Place both earbuds back inside the charging case with the lid remaining open.

2. Long press the Reset Button on the case for up to 10 seconds. A quickly flashing white LED on the charging case indicates the factory reset.

3. Close the case lid. After a few seconds, open it again for the earbuds to automatically restart.

Congratulations! Your boAt Airdopes 183 has been reset.

Troubleshooting

• Potential Problem: If one earbud is not working.
  Solution: Perform the Factory Reset.
• Potential Problem: If earbuds are not in connection/scan mode.
  Solution: Perform the Factory Reset.
• Potential Problem: If earbuds disconnect during a phone call.
  Solution: Charge the earbuds or perform the Factory Reset.
• Potential Problem: If there are other exceptions in usage.
  Solution: Place the earbuds back into the charging case and try using them again or perform the Factory Reset.
• Potential Problem: If Touch Controls don't seem to respond.
  Solution: After long usage, residual stains & perspiration can affect the touch control area. Use a clean cloth to wipe those areas softly.

Charging Norms & Precautionary Guidelines

• Charger/Brick/Adapter: 5V 2A
• Cable/Wire: Standard Cable (35 strands @ 0.10mm diameter/strand)
• Any other accessory can be paired up with the product as long as the specifications are as per the above norms.

Warnings ⚠️:

• Please follow the instructions to operate.
• Please do not use the earbuds in extreme temperatures.
• Please do not use the product near water.
• Please keep the product away from heat sources, as heat may damage it.
• Do not jam the ports such as charger port, LED port, etc.
• It is recommended to utilize the product below the maximum volume ? in order to protect hearing and extend the earbuds' service life.

Advisable: The earbuds start at 100% volume. Reduce volume when first switching on the earbuds, which can be done via the phone/media device.
