Getting Started: Power On & Connection
Smart Power On
To power on the earbuds for the first time, simply open the lid of the charging case. The earbuds will automatically power on, connect to each other, and enter connection mode, indicated by alternating red and blue LED flashes on the primary earbud. This feature utilizes Insta Wake N' Pair (IWPTM) technology.
Manual Power On
Alternatively, long-touch the Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on both earbuds for 3 seconds to manually power them on.
Connection Mode
Once powered on, the earbuds enter connection mode, signaled by alternating red and blue LED flashes on the primary earbud.
Pairing Your Device
1. Turn on the Bluetooth functionality on your smartphone or media device.
2. Scan for available devices.
3. Select 'Immortal 131' from the list and pair.
Your earbuds are now successfully connected via Bluetooth.
Notes:
- Pairing mode lasts for 5 minutes. If missed, reconnect the earbuds and repeat the procedure.
- The boAt Immortal 131 automatically reconnects to previously paired devices within working range when switched on.
Single Earbud Usage
The boAt Immortal 131 supports mono mode, allowing you to use either earbud independently.
1. Use Smart/Manual Power On for the desired earbud.
2. The selected earbud will automatically enter connection mode (indicated by LED flashes).
3. Turn on Bluetooth on your device and search for 'Immortal 131' to connect.
Notes:
- To switch to Stereo mode, simply take out the other earbud from the case. It will automatically power on and pair with the first earbud.
- Track skipping or returning to previous tracks is not supported in Mono (single-earbud) mode.
Key Functionalities & Controls
The Capacitive Touch Control (CTC) on each earbud allows for intuitive operation:
- Voice Assistant: Long touch the left CTC for 3 seconds to activate your device's default voice assistant (e.g., Google Assistant, Siri).
- Answer/Hang Up Call: Single tap the CTC on either earbud to answer an incoming call. Double tap the CTC on either earbud to end or reject a call.
- Play/Pause Music: Single tap the CTC on either earbud to play or pause music playback.
- Next Track: When music is playing, double tap the right earbud's CTC to skip to the next song.
- Previous Track: When music is playing, double tap the left earbud's CTC to return to the previous song.
Note: Volume control is managed exclusively through your connected media device.
BEAST™ Mode
For an enhanced gaming experience, long touch the right CTC for 3 seconds to activate BEAST™ Mode. This feature significantly reduces latency to approximately 40ms, providing a smoother gaming audio-visual sync. A sound prompt confirms activation. Long touch the right CTC for another 3 seconds to return to standard Music Mode.
ENx™ Tech (Environmental Noise Cancellation)
The boAt Immortal 131 is equipped with ENx™ technology, an advanced algorithm designed to cancel out ambient background noise during calls. The four integrated microphones work together to ensure your voice is heard clearly, even in noisy environments like traffic or public spaces. ENx™ is activated by default and requires no manual setup.
Power Off
Smart Power Off
After use, remove the earbuds from your ears, place them back into the charging case in the correct orientation, and close the lid. The earbuds will automatically power off and enter charging mode.
Manual Power Off
To manually power off the earbuds, long touch the CTC on the left earbud for 5 seconds, then repeat for the right earbud. Once powered off, place them in the charging case and close the lid.
Factory Reset
Perform a factory reset if you encounter operational difficulties. Before resetting, ensure you have 'forgotten' or removed 'Immortal 131' from your device's Bluetooth pairing history.
1. Take both earbuds out of the charging case.
2. Long touch the CTC on both earbuds simultaneously for 5 seconds.
3. Place the earbuds back inside the case, close the lid, and wait for 5 seconds.
4. Take the earbuds out of the case and perform a fresh connection to your device.
Your boAt Immortal 131 has now been reset.
