Get to Know Your Wireless Outdoor Camera
The Toucan Wireless Outdoor Camera features the following components:
- SET / Power ON button: Used for setting up and powering the device on.
- RST/Power OFF pinhole button: A recessed button for resetting or powering off the device.
- Camera lens: Captures video footage.
- Microphone: Records audio.
- Light sensor / Motion sensor: Detects ambient light and motion.
- LED indicator: Provides visual feedback on the camera's status.
- Speaker: Outputs audio, such as voice prompts.
- Charging port: A micro USB port for charging the device.
- Threaded screw hole: Located at the bottom for attaching accessory mounts.
- Magnetic base mount: A magnetic mount for attaching the camera to metal surfaces.
Charge Your Wireless Outdoor Camera
To charge the camera:
- Open the bottom cover of the camera.
- Plug the micro USB cable into the charging port.
It is recommended to fully charge the device before its first use.
LED Indicator Status During Charging:
- Solid Red: Battery is charging.
- Solid Blue: Battery is fully charged.
Setup Your Wireless Outdoor Camera
To set up your camera, you will need the Toucan app:
- Download the Toucan app: Available on the [App Store logo] App Store and [Google Play logo] Google Play. You can also visit: https://www.toucansolution.com/pages/toucan-smart-home-app
- Create an account: Open the app and create a free account.
- Add a new camera: Tap the [+] icon in the upper right corner of the app.
- Follow instructions: Follow the in-app instructions and the voice prompts from the camera to complete the setup process.
LED Indicator Status During Setup:
- Flashing BLUE: Camera is in Setup Mode.
- Flashing PURPLE: Camera is connecting to the cloud server.
- Flashing RED: Connection failed.
Install Your Wireless Outdoor Camera
The camera can be mounted using the provided hardware. The installation process typically involves attaching the magnetic base mount to a surface and then connecting the camera to the mount.
Mounting Notes:
- If using the 3M adhesive only, please allow 24-48 hours before placing the camera onto the mounting base to ensure maximum bonding strength. Apply 3M adhesive to dry surfaces only.
- The camera can be mounted using just the adhesive on UPVC, wooden, or smooth surface door frames. It is not suitable for brick or stone surfaces.
