IV. Operation Instructions
Change of Units of Weight and Volume
The scale can display weight in grams (g) or pounds/ounces (lb:oz). Volume can be displayed in ml or fl'oz for water and milk. Press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle through the units.
Operation
- Place the scale on a suitable flat surface and switch it on using the ON/OFF // ZERO button (A3).
- Place the bowl (if used) on the scale before switching it on. Do not place items to be weighed on the plate before turning the appliance on.
- When the display shows '0', the scale is ready for weighing.
- Use the UNIT button (A4) to set the desired mode/units of measurement.
- Place the food item in the center of the weighing plate (A2). For liquids or loose materials (e.g., flour), place them in a bowl or container on the plate (A2). Wait for the display value to stabilize.
- The scale can be switched off by pressing and holding the ON/OFF // ZERO button (A3) or will switch off automatically after approximately 120 seconds.
Notes on Operation:

- If you place the bowl or container after switching on, press ON/OFF // ZERO (A3) to reset the display to '0' before adding items.
TARE Function
This function allows weighing multiple ingredients consecutively without removing items from the scale. Place the first item, wait for it to weigh. Before adding the next item, press ON/OFF // ZERO (A3) to reset the display to '0'. Add the next item; the display will show the weight of the added item. This can be repeated. Removing all items will show a negative value.

Exceeding Loading Capacity
The maximum weighing capacity is 5 kg. If an item exceeding 5 kg is weighed, the display will show an error message ('Err'). This indicates the weight exceeds the scale's capacity.
WARNING: Remove overweight items from the scale surface to prevent damage.
Error Messages:
- Lo: Battery is low. Replace the battery.
- Err: Scale overload. Weight exceeds 5 kg.
If the display flashes or shows erroneous readings, move the scale away from potential interference sources (e.g., microwave oven) or turn off the source during weighing.
V. Maintenance
Clean the scale regularly after each use. Do not use harsh or aggressive cleaning agents (e.g., sharp objects, thinners, solvents) or a dishwasher. Wipe the scale surface and bowl (B) with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure no water penetrates the appliance. DO NOT immerse the scale in water or use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents. Clean parts immediately after contact with fats, spices, vinegar, or strongly aromatic/coloring foods. Avoid contact with acids like lemon juice. Do not dry plastic parts over heat sources. Some foods may discolor parts, but this does not affect functionality and is not a reason for warranty claims.

Proper disposal helps conserve natural resources and prevent negative environmental and health impacts. Contact local authorities or collection points for details.
