II. Description of the Appliance
The appliance consists of:
- A1 - Display: Shows weight and other information.
- A2 - Weighing Board: The surface where the user steps to weigh.
Diagram 1 Description: The scale is shown with two labels: A1 pointing to the digital display, and A2 pointing to the flat weighing surface.
III. Preparation for Use
1. Remove all packaging material and take out the scale.
2. Remove any adhesive foils, stickers, or paper from the scale.
3. Switch on the scale by tapping the weighing board with your foot. Check the displayed weight unit (kg).
4. To set the unit to lb, press the switch on the bottom of the scale. Diagram 2 Description: A close-up shows a small switch on the underside of the scale, used for changing measurement units.
5. Place the scale on a firm and flat surface. Diagram 3 Description: The scale is depicted standing on a level, solid floor.
Weight Units:
- 1 kg = 2.2 lb
- 1 lb = 0.454 kg
IV. Instructions for Use
The scale is a sensitive electronic device. Human body weight is complex to measure due to constant motion. For reliable results:
- Always step with both feet on the same spot on the scale.
- Stand still; do not move or lean during weighing.
- Use the scale on the same surface/mat if possible.
- Weigh yourself at the same time of day (preferably morning) for comparable results.
- Note that clothing, food, and drink before weighing can increase your weight. Short-term weight fluctuations are often due to fluid loss.
Weighing
- Switch on the scale by stepping on it. Wait until "0.0" appears on the display. Diagram 4 Description: A foot is shown stepping onto the scale, with the display showing "0.0".
- Once "0.0" is displayed, step onto the scale and stand still.
- After a moment, the measured weight will flash, remain on the display for several seconds, and then the scale will switch off automatically. Diagram 5 Description: The scale display shows a weight value, which is flashing.
Notes ℹ️
- Do not step on the scale until "0.0" is displayed.
- The scale automatically switches off if you do not step on it within approximately 10 seconds after "0.0" is displayed.
- Recommended minimum weight for use is approximately 4 kg.
Replacing Batteries
Open the battery cover on the bottom of the scale. Insert a CR 2032 3V battery with the correct polarity and close the cover. Remove the battery if the appliance is not used for a long time.
V. Troubleshooting ❓
If you experience problems:
- Check battery insertion.
- Check if the correct weight unit is selected.
- Ensure the scale is on a flat floor and not touching a wall.
- If the display shows nothing or only "Lo" when switching on, replace the battery.
- If "EEEE" appears, the scale is overloaded.
- If unusual symbols appear, remove and reinsert the battery.
- If the display flashes or shows incorrect readings, move the scale away from interference sources or switch off the source during use.
VI. Storing
After use, store the scale horizontally (not vertically), out of reach of children and incapacitated persons.
VII. Maintenance ⚙️
Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents (sharp objects, solvents). Clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure no water enters the appliance.
VIII. Environmental Protection ♻️
Symbols on the product or documentation indicate that electrical/electronic products must not be disposed of with municipal waste. Hand them over at designated collection points for free disposal. Proper disposal helps conserve natural resources and prevent negative environmental/health impacts. Dispose of batteries via special collection networks; never burn them.
