Instructions for Use
Before First Use
Fill the kettle with clean cold water up to the MAX level, turn it on, and let it boil. Pour out the water and repeat this process several times (at least five times).
Use
- Plug the power supply cord into an electrical outlet.
- Open the lid (A3) by pressing the lid lock button (A4) and fill the kettle with drinking water. The minimum and maximum water levels are marked on the water level indicator (A2). Close the lid by snapping it shut.
- Place the filled kettle on the base. A sound signal will be heard, indicator lamps (B5 and B6) will flash once, and the water temperature will be displayed on (B4).
A) Water Heating to 100°C
Press the ON/OFF button (B1) to start heating. The display will show '100' twice, and the heating indicator (B5) will light up. When the water reaches boiling point, heating switches off (two beeps), and the kettle enters standby mode. The display shows the current water temperature. After 20 minutes of inactivity, the kettle automatically switches off (display goes out).
B) Water Heating to a Temperature of 40-90°C
Use the temperature setting buttons (B3) to select the desired heating temperature (40-50-60-70-80-90°C). The selected value flashes briefly on the display (B4) then shows the current temperature. Press the ON/OFF button (B1) to start heating. The heating indicator (B5) lights up, and the display shows the current water temperature during heating. Once the desired temperature is reached, heating automatically switches off (two beeps), and the kettle enters standby mode. After 20 minutes of inactivity, it switches off automatically.
Temperature Guide:
- 40°C = Infant formula milk
- 50°C = Baby foods
- 60°C = Hot beverages
- 70°C = Green tea
- 80°C = White teas
- 90°C = Oolong teas, coffee, instant drinks, soups
- 100°C = Black, herbal teas
Notes and Recommendations
- Note: If heating water to a lower temperature (40-70°C), it is advisable to have at least 0.7L of water for accurate temperature achievement. Lower amounts may result in temperatures exceeding the set value.
- The electronic control does not respond without the kettle on the base.
- If you set a lower heating temperature than the current water temperature, the kettle will turn off.
- For preparing baby food (e.g., at 40°C), boil the water to 100°C first.
- The temperature sensor is at the bottom, and readings may have slight variations due to temperature differences.
- After approximately 20 minutes of inactivity, the kettle enters sleep mode (display turns off). Press B1 or B3 to wake it up.
- WARNING: If the kettle is off and B2 is pressed, the reheat function activates immediately to the last set temperature and maintains it.
KEEP WARM Function
Press B3 to select the desired temperature (40-50-60-70-80-90°C). Press B2 to start heating and the KEEP WARM function. Indicators B5 and B6 will light up. Upon reaching the set temperature, a sound signal will be heard, and the temperature maintenance function (B6 indicator stays lit, display shows temperature) will activate automatically. This function lasts for approximately 2 hours, then the device switches off (two beeps). After 20 minutes of inactivity, it switches off automatically.
Memory Function (for Keep Warm)
The kettle has a memory function for the Keep Warm feature. If the kettle is removed from the base and replaced within 30 minutes while Keep Warm is active, it will resume maintaining the temperature (provided the water temperature is within ±5°C of the set temperature).
- Note: If you set a lower temperature than the current one while KEEP WARM is active, the kettle will maintain the set temperature. It will wait for the water temperature to drop to the set value before maintaining it.
- Water heating, including KEEP WARM, can be interrupted by pressing B1 or B2, or by lifting the kettle from the base.
Maintenance
- Before any maintenance, unplug the appliance from the power outlet. Clean only after the kettle has cooled down.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents (sharp objects, scrapers, solvents).
- The kettle housing is high-quality plastic, and the heating base/interior is high-quality stainless steel. Scale may form above the heating element during normal use, which is not a defect.
Cleaning the Kettle
Do not use vinegar. Use an ETA-AKTIV descaler or the following method: Add about 50g of citric acid to the kettle with scale. Fill halfway with water, mix, and let dissolve. Then fill to 3/4 of the maximum capacity. Place on the base, turn on, and switch off before boiling. Let the solution sit for about 10 minutes, then pour out. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if heavily soiled. Clean regularly.
Any element requiring intervention in the electrical parts must be performed by qualified service personnel. Failure to follow manufacturer instructions voids the repair warranty.
