Dasqua Digital Outside Micrometer
Product Instructions
Structure
The Dasqua Digital Outside Micrometer features the following components:
- 1. LCD display: Shows measurement readings.
- 2. Friction drive: For fine adjustment.
- 3. Quick drive: For rapid movement.
- 4. ABS/INC UNIT key: For switching between absolute/relative modes and metric/inch units.
- 5. ON/OFF.SET key: Powers the device on/off and sets data.
- 6. Zero key: Sets the current position to zero.
- 7. Data output: For transferring measurement data.
Keys
- ON/OFF.SET key: Powerswitch. DATA set.
- ABS/INC UNIT key: Absolute & relative measuring, Metric/inch conversion.
- Zero key: Set current position as "0"
LCD Display
- "INC": Indicates relative measuring mode.
- "in": Indicates inch unit.
- "mm": Indicates metric unit.
Operation
Two ways of pressing the keys are used:
- (1) Press and release
- (2) Press and hold (2 sec. or more)
1. ON/OFF key:
- Press and release: Power on/off.
- Press and hold (2 sec. or more): Data setting for absolute measurement.
- Origin of metric is 0, 25, 50, 75mm...275mm. Origin of inch is 0, 1", 2", 3"... 11".
- Sets data automatically after battery reset.
2. ABS...mm/in key:
- Press and release: Absolute and relative measuring mode conversion; "INC" sign displayed on LCD in relative measuring mode. No sign displayed on LCD in absolute measuring mode.
- Press and hold (2 sec. or more): Metric/inch conversion; "in" displayed on LCD for inch, otherwise "mm".
3. Zero key:
- Press and release: Set the result to "0" at any position.
Power
A Cr2032 Lithium battery is inserted into the back of the instrument with the positive pole outward. Replace the battery when the display data is blurry or the data on LCD is flashing.
If not used for five minutes, the power will auto-off. The micrometer will turn on by pressing the "ON/OFF" key. Power off the micrometer by pressing the "ON/OFF" key to save the battery.

Precautions
- Do not subject the instrument to blows or knocks. Do not drop it or apply excessive force.
- Do not disassemble the instrument.
- Do not press the keys with a pointed object.
- Do not use or store instrument under direct sunlight, or in an excessively hot or cold area.
- Do not use the instrument near strong magnetic fields and high voltages.
- Use a soft cloth or a cotton that is dry to clean the instrument. Do not use organic solvent such as acetone or benzene.
- Wipe the measuring faces of the instrument before using it.
- Remove the battery if the instrument is not used for a long period of time.
Troubleshooting
