Safety Precautions
Use Cautions
- Never use the device if it is not correctly installed and placed inside a connecting box compliant with current norms.
- Keep the product away from liquids.
Danger of Electrocution
WARNING: Before any installation, ensure the power supply is disconnected to avoid any risk of electric shock. Cut power directly from the breaker box. Incorrect installation can lead to fire or electric shock. If you are not experienced with electrical installations, consult a professional.
The module must be installed and connected strictly following these instructions. NodOn is not responsible for accidents or damage resulting from non-compliance.
Disconnect power before any operation and do not make changes if the LED is still illuminated.
Installation
Due to its compact size, the Zigbee ON/OFF Lighting Relay Switch can be installed discreetly within walls or ceilings, such as behind existing switches or in false ceilings.
Tip: For panel installation, use the NodOn DIN Rail Box (optional accessory).
Wiring Diagram Description (Figure 1)
Diagram illustrates the wiring for controlling one or two lights. It shows the connection points for Neutral (N) and Line (L) power input. It also details two input terminals for wired switches (Input 1 and Input 2) and two output terminals that control the lights (Output 1 and Output 2). The diagram depicts the module connecting to the power source and the switches, with options for single or dual-channel control.
Module Input/Output Terminals
- N: Terminal for Neutral
- L: Terminal for Line
- Input 1: Terminal for wired switch 1 (optional)
- Input 2: Terminal for wired switch 2 (optional)
- Output 1: Terminal for controlled light 1
- Output 2: Terminal for controlled light 2
Each terminal is designed to accept cables with a cross-section between 1.5mm² and 4mm², requiring 8mm of stripped wire.
Installation Steps
- Cut the power supply.
- Dismantle the existing wired switch controlling the light(s).
- Wire the ON/OFF Lighting Relay Switch according to the diagram (Figure 1).
- Reinstall the wired switch.
- Turn the power supply back ON.
Auto-Detection of Switch Type
After connecting power and installing the module, perform a single press on the wired switch(es). The module will automatically detect the switch type (monoestable or bistable).
Adding to a Zigbee Network (Pairing)
When the module is powered on, its LED indicator blinks orange, signifying it is actively searching for a Zigbee network. To pair the device:
- Open your Zigbee gateway's application.
- Enable the module detection mode within the application.
- Refer to nodon.fr/en/support for a list of compatible home automation gateways.
Successful Pairing: If the module joins the network successfully, the LED turns solid green, confirming the module is operational.
Pairing Issues: If the module does not join a network within 15 minutes, the LED will remain orange; a brief press on the module's button can restart the pairing attempt.
Unpairing Procedure (Module Reset)
To unpair the module from its network, a reset procedure is required:
- Ensure the module is connected to power.
- Press and hold the module's button for over 5 seconds; the LED will begin blinking orange.
- Perform a short press on the button again to validate the reset.
- If successful, the LED will flash red and green alternately, followed by a return to blinking orange. Repeat if necessary.
- The module will return to its original configuration and be ready to be paired with a new Zigbee network.
