DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION

BEFORE ANY INSTALLATION, ENSURE THE POWER SUPPLY IS DISCONNECTED TO AVOID ANY RISK OF ELECTROCUTION.

Cut the power supply directly from the breaker box. Improper installation can lead to fire or electric shock. If you are not comfortable with electrical installations, consult a professional.

The module must be installed and connected strictly following the instructions in this guide. NodOn is not responsible for accidents or damages resulting from non-compliance with installation instructions.

Disconnect power before any operation and do not make modifications if the LED is still ON.

Installation

Due to its compact size, the Roller Shutter Relay Switch can be installed in a connecting box or behind the existing wall switch that controls the roller shutter or motorized awning.

TIP: Consider adding the Roller Shutter Relay Switch to your electric panel using the NodOn DIN Rail Box (optional accessory).

Module Inputs/Outputs:

Each terminal can accept a cable of up to 2.5 mm², stripped to 8mm.

Wiring Diagram Description (Figure 1): This diagram illustrates the connection points on the module. It shows the Neutral (N) and Line (L) power inputs, two input terminals (I) for optional wired switches (for up/down control), and two motor output terminals (M) for the motor's up and down connections. The diagram also indicates a connection terminal and references optional wired switches.

Installation Steps:

  1. Cut the power supply.
  2. Disassemble the existing wired wall switch controlling the roller shutter/awning.
  3. Wire the module according to the wiring diagram (Figure 1).
  4. Reassemble the wired wall switch.
  5. Restore the power supply.

Auto-Detection of Switch Type

After restoring power, operate the wired wall switch once to move the roller shutter to mid-height. The module features an auto-detection system that identifies the type of wired wall switch (rocker or push-button) connected to the input terminals.

Note: The same configuration applies to both input terminals (I and I). It is not possible to combine a rocker switch with a push-button. To re-initiate auto-detection, the module must be manually reset.

Calibration of the Roller Shutter Relay Switch

The module must be connected and powered on for calibration.

Two Calibration Modes:

  1. From the Relay Switch Module:
    1. Perform 5 short presses on the module's button. The module's LED will blink green, indicating calibration has started.
  2. From the Wired Wall Switch:
    1. Position the roller shutter/awning in the fully open (up) position.
    2. Perform the "Up - Stop" sequence three times using the wired wall switch.
    3. The roller shutter/awning will confirm auto-calibration by performing a complete cycle: "up/down/up".

Note: If the cycle is reversed (down/up/down), swap the motor connections (M and M).

To Cancel Calibration: Perform 5 short presses on the module's button or 1 press on the wired wall switch.

Pairing the Roller Shutter Relay Switch

To add a remote control, wall switch, or Soft Button (EnOcean compatible), you must enter pairing mode. The module must be connected and powered on.

Two Pairing Modes:

  1. From the Relay Switch Module:
    1. Initiate pairing by performing 3 consecutive rapid presses on the module's button. The LED will blink red.
    2. You have 30 seconds to pair your controller. Press the desired button on your remote control or wall switch briefly (less than one second). This button will control the upward movement of your roller shutter/awning.
    3. For a Soft Button, perform 5 brief consecutive presses on its button within the 30-second window.
    4. The module's LED will blink green twice, confirming successful pairing.
  2. From the Wired Wall Switch:
    1. Position the roller shutter/awning in the fully closed (down) position.
    2. Perform the "Down - Stop" sequence three times using the wired wall switch.
    3. The roller shutter/awning will rise by 10% to confirm the pairing process has started.
    4. You have 30 seconds to pair your controller. Press the desired button on your remote control or wall switch briefly (less than one second). This button will control the upward movement of your roller shutter/awning.
    5. The roller shutter/awning will confirm the pairing by closing completely.

Note: If the LED blinks orange during pairing, it indicates that the maximum of 22 controllers have already been paired. You must unpair an existing controller to add a new one.

Using Your Soft Button

The Soft Button functions as follows:

Type of PressAction
Single pressReversal (e.g., stop if moving, start if stopped)
Double pressOpen (move to fully open position)
Long pressClosed (move to fully closed position)

Pairing with a Home Automation Gateway

For detailed instructions on pairing with a home automation gateway or other compatible products, please consult the "Support" section on nodon.fr/en/.

Unpairing Procedure

Follow the same procedure as pairing. Ensure you press the button that was previously selected to control your gate, garage door, electric latch, or electrical outlet.

Reset Procedure

The module must be connected and powered on.

  1. Press and hold the module's button for more than 5 seconds. The LED will blink orange.
  2. Press the button again briefly to confirm the reset. If the reset is successful, the LED will blink alternately red and green, then turn solid green. Repeat if necessary.
  3. Your module has now returned to its original factory settings.
