SALUS RT510/RT510RF Programmable Thermostat Installation Manual
Introduction
The RT510 / RT510RF is a programmable room thermostat used to control room temperature. The device activates the heating system by short-circuiting the terminal blocks, simultaneously informing and displaying this action on the LCD screen. Extended functions allow for various operating modes: automatic (scheduled), manual, frost protection, or holiday mode. Read this manual carefully before use. Use only 1.5V AA alkaline batteries in the thermostat. Insert batteries into the battery slot located under the cover. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

RT510RF Wiring Diagram

Setting the Time

- Press the SELECT and SET buttons together for 3 seconds. The display shows '12:00' and '6'.
- Press [↑] or [↓] to select the hour format (12 or 24 hour).
- Press SELECT to confirm. The display shows '24 hr'.
- Press [↑] or [↓] to set the hour.
- Press SELECT to confirm. The display shows the set hour, e.g., '14:00'.
- Press [↑] or [↓] to set the minutes.
- Press SELECT to confirm. The display shows the set minutes, e.g., '14:30'.
- Press [↑] or [↓] to set the day of the week.
- Press SET to confirm. The thermostat returns to the main screen showing the current time.
Programming - Automatic Mode
In this mode, the user can configure the schedules for the thermostat (temperature setpoints for a specific time period). You have the option to choose between a 5-2 day program or a daily program using parameter d04 in Installer mode. Programmed schedules must utilize all time periods.

- Press the SET button to start programming.
- Use the [↑] or [↓] button to select the day/days from which you want to start programming.
- Press SELECT to confirm.
- Use the [↑] or [↓] button to set the hour for program #1.
- Press SELECT to confirm.
- Use the [↑] or [↓] button to set the minutes for program #1.
- Press SELECT to confirm.
- Use the [↑] or [↓] button to set the temperature for program #1.
- Press SELECT to confirm.
- Follow steps 4-9 to define programs 2-6.
- Press SET button to end programming. The thermostat returns to the main screen.
Temporary Override Mode
This function is available only in automatic (scheduled) mode. If a new setpoint temperature is configured during the program, it will be maintained until the next time interval begins according to a programmed schedule.

Using [↑] or [↓] buttons set new setpoint temperature. After new setpoint temperature set, thermostat will return to the main screen.
The temporary override mode will be deactivated when a new schedule is set.
Manual Mode and Setpoint Adjustment
In this mode, the thermostat does not operate according to the programmed schedule but will maintain the selected temperature.

- Press the Manual Mode button (button 2 on page 5) to activate manual mode.
- The display shows the current temperature and setpoint.
- Using [↑] or [↓] buttons set new setpoint temperature.
- After new setpoint temperature set, thermostat will return to the main screen.
To turn off manual mode, press the Manual Mode button again. Once manual mode is deactivated, the hand icon on the thermostat will disappear.
Hourly Temperature Override Mode (+ Hr)
This function is available in both automatic and manual modes. It is used to change the setpoint temperature for a specific number of hours (up to 9 hours). Once that time has elapsed, the thermostat reverts to the previous setting.

- Press the +Hr button to set the number of hours for temperature override (e.g., to set up override for 3 hours, press the button 3 times).
- Using [↑] or [↓] button set a new setpoint temperature for override.
- Press SET button to confirm.
- The display shows the overridden temperature and the remaining hours.

Press the + Hr button until the number of hours disappears from the display.
Frost Protection
The frost protection mode temperature is set by default to 5 °C. This temperature can be changed in the installer mode via parameter d03.

Press the Frost Protection button (button 3 on page 5) to turn On Frost Protection mode.
Turning off Frost Protection mode

Press the Frost Protection button again to turn Off Frost Protection mode.
Sleep Mode

Hold the [↑] and [↓] buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to start the sleep mode. The thermostat is in sleep mode.

Press any key to deactivate sleep mode. The thermostat will return to the previous mode.
Holiday Mode
In this mode, the 'frost protection' temperature is maintained for a specific number of days.

- Hold down the Holiday Mode button (button 3 on page 5) for 3 seconds to activate the Holiday Mode.
- Use [↑] or [↓] button to set the number of days for Holiday Mode.
- Press SET button to confirm. You can set up to 31 days.
- The display shows the number of days set for Holiday Mode.

To deactivate holiday mode, press and hold the Holiday Mode button for 3 seconds. The airplane icon ✈️ should disappear from the screen.
Pairing the RT510TX Thermostat with the Receiver
Note: If you are using the RT510RF package, the pairing between the thermostat and the receiver is already done.
If you wish to re-pair the thermostat with the receiver, ensure the device is disconnected from the power supply and the receiver switches are set to AUTO and ON. Then, connect the receiver to the power supply and wait for the red LED to light up steadily. Then quickly switch to the OFF position and back to the ON position. The flashing red LED will confirm entry into pairing mode.
Starting the pairing process

Press and hold the TEST/PAIRING button for 3 seconds. The display shows 'SYNC 10'.

Finalizing the pairing process

Once devices have paired correctly, the receiver LED will light up solid red.
Press and hold the TEST / PAIRING button for 3 seconds to finish the pairing process.
Testing the pairing process

Press TEST/PAIRING button again to return to the main screen.
If you purchased an RXRT510 or RT510TX and intend to pair it with other devices within a 5x5 range, consult the receiver unit manual or relevant manuals available at www.salus-controls.eu.
Installer Mode

- Press three buttons (SELECT, SET, and [↑] or [↓]) at the same time for 3 seconds to enter Installer Mode. The display shows 'd01'.
- Using the SELECT button, choose the parameter you wish to adjust.
- Press SET to confirm the parameter selection.
- Using [↑] or [↓] buttons set a parameter value.
- Press SELECT to confirm the new value.
- Follow steps 2-5 to set next parameters. To exit the installer mode, wait 10 seconds; the thermostat will return automatically to the main screen.

Thermostat Reset
RT510 Thermostat Reset

Press the RESET button once. You can use a paperclip. Your thermostat will reset and start automatically.
RT510TX Thermostat Reset

Remove the batteries without pressing any buttons. Wait 2 minutes and reinsert the batteries. Your device will reset.
When you wish to change the batteries, your device will use internal memory to back up your configuration. You have 30 seconds to change the batteries before losing your configuration.
