Introduction

The RT510 and RT510RF are programmable electronic room thermostats designed to control room temperature by activating the heating system. They achieve this by shorting terminal blocks, providing clear feedback on the LCD display. These thermostats offer various operating modes, including automatic (time schedules), manual, frost protection, and holiday mode. For optimal performance, please read this manual carefully before use. Only use AA 1.5 V alkaline batteries; do not use rechargeable batteries. Batteries are housed in a slot located under the cover.

Wiring Diagrams

RT510 Wiring Diagram (Wired Thermostat)

This diagram illustrates the connections for the wired RT510 thermostat. A 230V AC power supply (L and N) connects to the RXRT510 receiver's L and N terminals. The receiver's COM and NO terminals connect to the RT510 thermostat's COM and NO terminals, respectively, to control the heating system. The diagram shows the thermostat with its COM, NC, and NO terminals, and the receiver with its COM and NO terminals.

RT510RF Wiring Diagram (Wireless Thermostat)

This diagram shows the connections for the wireless RT510RF system. A 230V AC power supply (L and N) connects to the RXRT510 receiver's L and N terminals. The receiver's COM and NO terminals then connect to the heating system's boiler control terminals. The RT510RF thermostat communicates wirelessly with the receiver. The diagram depicts the RT510TX thermostat and the RXRT510 receiver, with the receiver connected to the 230V AC supply and its output terminals (COM, NO) ready to connect to the heating system.

  4. Use the [SELECT] or [SET] buttons to set the minutes for Program #1. Press [SELECT] to confirm.
  5. Use the [SELECT] or [SET] buttons to set the desired temperature for Program #1. Press [SELECT] to confirm.
  6. Follow steps 4-9 (setting hour, minutes, temperature) to define Programs #2 through #6.
  7. Press the [SET] button to finish programming and exit.

Temporary Override Mode

This mode is active only when the thermostat is in automatic (schedule) mode. If you set a new temperature, it will be maintained until the next scheduled time interval begins. The override is automatically cancelled when a new schedule is set.

  1. While in automatic mode, use the [SELECT] or [SET] buttons to set a new desired temperature.
  2. The thermostat will automatically return to the main screen and maintain the new setpoint.

To cancel the temporary override before the next scheduled change, you can set a new schedule or turn off the thermostat.

Manual Mode

In manual mode, the thermostat ignores the programmed schedule and maintains the temperature you manually set.

  1. Press the [Manual Mode] button (indicated by a hand icon ?️) to activate Manual Mode.
  2. Use the [SELECT] or [SET] buttons to set your desired temperature.
  3. Press [SET] to confirm. The thermostat will maintain this temperature.

To turn off Manual Mode and return to the programmed schedule, press the [Manual Mode] button again. The hand icon ?️ will disappear from the display.

Hourly Temperature Override Mode (+Hr)

This function allows you to temporarily change the setpoint temperature for a specific number of hours (up to 9 hours), available in both Automatic and Manual modes. After the specified time, the thermostat reverts to its previous mode.

  1. Press the [+Hr] button. Each press adds one hour to the override duration (up to 9 hours). The display will show the number of hours.
  2. Use the [SELECT] or [SET] buttons to set the desired override temperature.
  3. Press [SET] to confirm the override.

Turning off Hourly Override Mode Early: Press the [+Hr] button repeatedly until the number of hours displayed disappears, indicating the override is cancelled.

Frost Protection

This mode maintains a minimum temperature (default 5°C) to prevent pipes from freezing. The temperature can be adjusted in the Installer Mode (parameter d03).

  1. Press the [Frost Protection] button (indicated by a snowflake icon ❄️) to turn Frost Protection mode ON.
  2. To turn Frost Protection mode OFF, press the [Frost Protection] button again.

Sleep Mode

Sleep mode pauses all thermostat functions, allowing you to rest without temperature fluctuations.

  1. Hold the [Boost] and [Manual Mode] buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to activate Sleep Mode.
  2. When Sleep Mode is active, all functions are paused.
  3. Press any button to deactivate Sleep Mode. The thermostat will return to its previous mode.

Holiday Mode

Holiday Mode maintains the frost protection temperature for a specified number of days.

  1. Hold down the [Holiday Mode] button (indicated by an airplane icon ✈️) for 3 seconds to activate Holiday Mode.
  2. Use the [SELECT] or [SET] buttons to set the number of days for Holiday Mode (up to 31 days).
  3. Press [SET] to confirm.

To turn off Holiday Mode, hold down the [Holiday Mode] button for 3 seconds. The airplane icon ✈️ will disappear from the display.
