Installation Diagram Description

A diagram illustrates the mounting of the convector. It shows a wall and floor interface, with dimensions indicating clearances and overall size. A damper mechanism is shown, with an adjustable range indicated (± 1/2 inch). The diagram also labels key dimensions like 'D', 'L', 'H', 'B', and 'J' corresponding to the model table. It notes that the end-to-end length is the liner length less 1/2 inch, and riser centers are liner length less 2 1/2 inches. A 3/4" NPT connection is typical. The diagram also shows louvers and end pockets.

CONVECTOR BTU CORRECTION FACTORS

Table 7: GALLONS PER MINUTE OF HOT WATER REQUIRED

A line graph titled 'GALLONS PER MINUTE OF HOT WATER REQUIRED' plots GPM (Gallons Per Minute) on the Y-axis against MBH (Thousands of BTU per Hour) on the X-axis. Several lines represent different temperature drops (10°F, 20°F, 30°F, 40°F), showing the relationship between water flow rate and heating capacity. For example, a 10°F drop line indicates that approximately 10 GPM corresponds to 200 MBH.

NOTE: Table 8 shows MBH which result at specific water temperature drops and minimum water flow rates which are required to maintain turbulent flow within element tubes.

CONVECTOR COIL

Coil configurations:

Coil fins are 2-1/2" high by width shown above and are mechanically bonded to copper tube at 6 fins per inch.

A diagram shows the convector coil construction. It details the number of tubes and their configuration (e.g., 4" depth has a 2 TUBE ELEMENT 3 3/4" configuration). It indicates the relationship between the end-to-end length and the liner length (Liner Length Less 1/2"), and the riser center dimensions (Liner Length Less 2 1/2"). A 3/4" NPT connection is typical. The diagram also depicts a vent plug and a 3-position hanger welded to the liner.

NOTE: When ordering convectors with end pockets always refer to the standard unit length. The overall physical length will increase by 4" for each end pocket. The coil length will remain the standard size.
