OPERATING AND MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

1 Safety notes
Read the safety instructions and the manual before using the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN! Improper use can cause damage to components and/or injury.
Keep the safety instructions and the manual for future reference!
- Be careful not to be distracted by the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN while riding! Do not let yourself be distracted by the display.
- Be careful not to lose control of your e-bike while interacting with the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN.
- Do not use the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN as a handle to lift your e-bike! This can cause irreparable damage to the component.
2 User interface and controls
The EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN features a display with a status bar, customizable tiles, and control buttons.
Status bar: Displays clock, page description, menu description, and e-bike light status.
Display Area: Features four customizable tiles for data display. Key information shown includes speed (km/h), distance (km), temperature (°C), and battery charge level (%).
Controls:
- Button A: Press to go back one page or decrease a value.
- Button B: Press to confirm an entry or move one menu level down. Long press to open and close the menu (bike computer).
- Button C: Press to move forward one page or increase a value. Long press to reset tour data.
- Button D: Press to open and close e-bike settings. Long press to turn the e-bike on and off.
3 Operation
3.1 Initial wake-up
To turn on your e-bike, use the additional power button on the SHIMANO control unit or connect your e-bike for charging. The EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN will be activated. You can also switch on the device using button D on its side.
Setting the language:
1. Press and hold button B to open the menu.
2. Use button C to select the SETTINGS submenu and confirm with button B.
3. Select the LANGUAGE menu item using button B.
4. Use buttons A and C to select your desired language and confirm with button B.
5. Exit the menu by pressing and holding button B.
3.2 Changing the display values
Use buttons A and C to change the values displayed on the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN.
3.3 Resetting tour data
To reset the driving data, press and hold button C for a long time (more than 2 seconds).
3.4 Turn off
To switch off your e-bike and the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN, press and hold button D.
4 Main menu
4.1 Connections
Smartphone Connection:
- Press and hold button B to enter the menu.
- Select the Connections menu item with A or C, and confirm with B.
- Select the Smartphone menu item with A or C, and confirm with B.
- Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and start the EOX® app.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN using the EOX® app.
Upon successful connection, a pop-up message confirms that the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN and your smartphone are connected.
Connection to Sensors:
The EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN can connect to the following sensors:
- Heart rate sensor
- SIGMA REMOTE ONE (remote control)
To connect sensors:
- Press and hold button B to open the menu.
- Select the Connections menu item with A or C, and confirm with B.
- Select the Sensors menu item with A or C, and confirm with B.
- You can then choose to 'Search New' sensors or view 'Paired Sensors'.
4.2 Connection to KOMOOT app
The KOMOOT app allows you to display turn-by-turn navigation instructions on the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN.
First Connection Steps:
- Open your profile in the Komoot app.
- Navigate to Settings within the Komoot app.
- Access the "Bluetooth Connect" menu.
- Start the connection setup with a SIGMA device.
After establishing the connection:
- Press and hold button B to open the menu on the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN.
- Select 'Connections' and press B.
- Select 'Komoot' and press B.
- The EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN will search for a connection. Your previously connected smartphone will be displayed. Select OK by pressing B.
- Once connected, the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN will appear in the Komoot app. If issues arise, relaunch the EOX® app and reconnect the device.
The EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN can now receive navigation instructions from the Komoot app. Ensure your smartphone has GPS reception to receive instructions. Navigation instructions from Komoot will be displayed on the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN.
4.3 Total values
This section displays total distance, travel time, and elevation gain.
- Press and hold button B to open the menu.
- Select the TOTALS menu item with A or C, and confirm with B.
The display shows Total Distance, Total Ride Time, and Total Altimeter.
4.4 Settings
Press and hold button B to open the menu.
Select the SETTINGS menu item with A or C, and confirm with B.
Configurable settings include:
- Language: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish, Czech.
- Units: Metric (°C, km/h) or Imperial (°F, mph), custom.
- Altitude setting: Current altitude or Home altitude.
- Display brightness.
- Sounds.
- Year of birth: Required for maximum heart rate calculation.
- Heart rate.
- Function preview: Shows brief field descriptions after page changes.
- Clock.
- Date.
- Assist-Pop-Up: Enable/disable pop-up messages for assist mode changes.
- Factory settings: Resets all adjustable values and connections.
- Sensors: Select and configure paired sensors.
Settings can be adjusted by scrolling with buttons A or C and confirming with B.
4.5 E-bike and device information
- Press and hold button B to open the menu.
- Select the INFO menu item with A or C, and confirm with B.
Subsections provide:
- E-Bike Information: Displays Start mode, Wheel circumference, Firmware version, Serial Number, CAN version, Total Mileage, Date of Inspection, Mileage until Inspection, and Error Messages.
- Device Information: Displays Device name (EOX® VIEW 1500), FW Version, MAC address, FCC ID, and IC number.
5 Bike Control Menu
Press button D to open the Bike Control menu.
Select menu items with A or C, and confirm with B.
Adjustable settings:
- Light: Turn the bike light on and off.
- Assist Mode: Select the desired assist level.
- Assist Profile: Change SHIMANO Assist Profiles.
- Shift Mode: Change the shift mode of the SHIMANO Di2 drivetrain.
6 Information during the ride
6.1 Battery status and assist mode
While riding, the status bar shows time and light status. The middle area displays four data fields, configurable via the EOX® app.
Available data fields include:
- Speed, Average Speed, Maximum Speed
- Trip Distance, Trip Time, Time of Day, Date
- Temperature, Altitude, Gradient, Altitude Increase, Maximum Altitude
- E-Bike Battery, Pedaling Power, Heart Rate, Cadence, E-Bike Range
- Assist Mode, E-Bike Battery, Gears
- Komoot, Performance Comparison, Assist Profile, Assist Level, Assist Maximum Range
The lower area displays the selected assist mode and the e-bike battery charge level.
6.2 Pop-up messages
Various pop-up messages indicate status changes:
- Smartphone Disconnected/Connected: Indicates the connection status of your smartphone.
- Heart Rate Transmitter Disconnected/Connected: Indicates the connection status of the heart rate sensor.
- Remote Disconnected/Connected: Indicates the connection status of the SIGMA REMOTE ONE.
- E-bike battery low: Alerts when the e-bike battery is critically low.
6.3 Service warning
A service warning pop-up message appears when the e-bike requires maintenance. This alert is set by the dealer based on distance or date. The message appears once when due and each time the device is turned on until maintenance is completed. Contact your bicycle manufacturer or a certified repair shop.
7 SIGMA EOX® app
The SIGMA EOX® app is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Compatible with Android 5.0+ and iOS 11.0+.
Languages supported: German, English, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Spanish, Czech.
7.1 Connect the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN to the EOX® App
- Long press button B to enter the menu.
- Select 'Connections' (A or C, confirm with B).
- Select 'Smartphone' (A or C, confirm with B).
- Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and launch the EOX® app.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN using the EOX® app (tap gear icon, then 'My Bike').
- Confirm Bluetooth access. Select the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN from the list.
- Scan the QR code with your smartphone camera.
The connection between your EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN and the EOX® app is now established.
Trip recording menu: Tap [record] to start a trip. The app displays location, distance, riding time, average/maximum speed, average/maximum temperature, battery discharge, assistance levels, and range.
Starting and stopping trip recording is indicated by pop-up messages on the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN.
My Trips menu: Provides a summary of recorded trips, weekly/monthly/annual statistics (distance, ride time), and goals achieved.
Trip menu: Data can be added individually (Tour name, date/time, sport type, weather, riding experience). Recorded values include location, riding time, speed, temperature, battery, and assistance levels. Tours can be shared, customized, edited, or deleted. The map can display routes colored by speed, heart rate, battery consumption, or assistance levels.
8 SIGMA EOX® Assembly
8.1 OVER CLAMP BUTLER
Instructions for mounting the EOX® VIEW 1500 CAN using the OVER CLAMP BUTLER.
- The mount is designed for handlebars with diameters Ø 31.8 mm or Ø 35 mm.
- A 3D rubber pad is included for grip and protection.
- The device can be secured using the included locking screw (2 mm Allen key) with a torque of 0.1 Nm. Ensure the screw is used only in conjunction with the BUTLER to avoid damage.
- The angle can be adjusted by +/- 5 degrees.

10 SIGMA REMOTE ONE
The SIGMA REMOTE ONE is sold separately and is an accessory for the EOX® series.
10.1 BUTTON FUNCTIONS
The SIGMA REMOTE ONE has three buttons (A, B, C) and a status LED.
- Button A: Go back one page / Decrease value.
- Button B: Open menu / Confirm selection.
- Button C: Go forward one page / Increase value.
