Dear Customer,
Effective July 1st, 2006, the European Directive 2002/95/EC - "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" (RoHS), its recast 2011/65/EU of June 8th, 2011, and the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 of March 31st 2015, restrict the use in Europe of certain hazardous substances in electrical and/or electronic equipment. These substances include lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) flame retardants, and as of July 22nd, 2019, Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).
Schneider Electric prioritizes RoHS compliance for its products, even for those outside the legal scope of RoHS. The majority of Schneider Electric products are RoHS compliant. This commitment aligns with Schneider Electric's environmental policy and the EN IEC 63000:2018 standard.
The information provided in this document reflects the current product status according to regulations in force at the date of publication. Future changes in product design or directives may alter the status reported. If a product falls within the legal scope of RoHS, this document does not serve as a CE declaration. For the CE declaration, please refer to the Schneider Electric download center. In line with our Company's sustainable development policy, we continuously strive to develop products and services that minimize environmental impact and protect human health when used as intended and according to provided documentation.
In this declaration, "Pro-active compliance" signifies that a product, while not classified as EEE or not falling within the legal scope of the regulation, adheres to the substance restrictions and their corresponding exemptions.
Should you require further information or have specific questions, such as those concerning phased-out products, our Customer Care Centers are available to assist you. You can find more details on Schneider Electric's environmental commitment on the Green Premium webpage.
